We had an amazing time on our 2-day Inca Trail trek and visit to Machu Picchu with Alistan. The pace was perfect, his explanations were insightful and engaging, and he went above and beyond to make the experience extra special as it was my birthday. His knowledge, enthusiasm, and attention to detail made this a truly memorable adventure. We highly recommend Allyn Pacha and especially Alistan as a guide!

We had an amazing time on the Lares Trek and Inca Trail with James. The views were incredible and the cultural immersion was so authentic. We loved dancing with the local communities, learning about their weaving, and eating the delicious food they prepared for us. However, the reason I would recommend this company above all others is their integrity. When one of our friends had to go to the hospital for altitude sickness, James’s whole family stepped in immediately. While we finished the trek, his mom, dad, and cousin visited our friend daily to translate and care for her. James was also a fantastic guide who was very patient and shared so much local history with us. They are a wonderful family-run business that truly treats their guests like their own. We felt safe and cared for every step of the way. Thank you Allyn Pacha! We will cherish the amazing memories for the rest of our lives.

The staff was friendly, professional and always willing to help, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The Machu Picchu tour was amazing 😍 We absolutely loved it We had the best guide of all: Eliastan He was wonderful—he helped us get the tickets just one day before; we thought we wouldn’t make it, since we planned the trip last minute (buy them in advance haha) Then he took us on several tours, showed us around the city, and during the Machu Picchu tour he explained a lot about the culture We even learned a word in Quechua It was more than we expected, it truly surprised us 🫶 An incredible experience from start to finish! 💯

The tour to Machu Picchu was sensational 😍 We loved it so much We had the best guide of all: Eliastan It was wonderful, it helped us to buy the ticket a day earlier; we thought we would not make it, as we organized the trip last minute (buy before hahaha) Then he took us on several tours, showed us the city and during the tour to Machu Picchu explained much about the culture We even learned a word in Quechua It was more than we expected, it really surprised us 🫶 An amazing experience from start to finish! 💯

Fantastic time with Elistan, James and Yeny. They were so thoughtful and knowledgeable throughout the trip. We really enjoyed their hospitality, loving attitude, deep care and in-depth views on Peru. Peru is lucky to have such warm people. Highly recommend.

Elistan, Yeny, James, and the entire team at Allyn Pacha were super helpful during our trip to Cusco, Sacred Valley, and Machu Picchu. Every detail was taken care of and their plan for our week in Cusco was spot on. A particular highlight was the home cooked boxed lunch they brought to the Short Inca trail. They were also very easy to communicate with, and helped us organise last minute hikes to Humantay Lake and Rainbow Mountain. Would happily recommend them to others!

I chose to do the 2 day short Inca trail and Machu Picchu tour and couldn’t have asked for a better guide than James. He had an encyclopedic knowledge of the Inca Trail and the history of Peru and Machu Picchu. James explained in detail every site we saw and its importance to the history and culture of Peru. More importantly, he was extremely patient and encouraging during our Inca Trail hike in the pouring rain. This was my first trek at altitude and there were times I thought I wasn’t going to make it. James helped me make it through the journey and I was privileged to have him help me every step of the way!

Doing the short Inca trail to Machupicchu with Elistan and James was 100% THE highlight of our whole Peru trip! We felt underprepared and nervous booking Inca Trail. We researched everything just 2 months out and we were nervous about starting in a different city, whether we could get passes, the whole dropping 1k USD via foreign transaction, and whether the tour operator would be good (i.e. knowledgeable, good communicators, nice to staff and locals). Allyn Pacha were so good and put all those fears to rest. Their website is really good (there's so much more detail than other ops) and they're super communicative via WhatsApp (eg. told us right away they would be able to get permits and how long it would take), the payment system is clear and easy ($1100 for 2 ppl across 2 payments), and they did a very informative pre-call that answered all our questions. Of everyone on the trail that day, we got by far the best experience. We were 2:2 hiker:guide on a private setup. On day 1, they got us incredible front row seats on the train journey up, gave us a delicious packed lunch on the hike, and a yummy french-peruvian dinner in the evening after that was our best meal our entire time in Peru. (Friends who had been to Aguas Calientes before reported bad food, so I guess they didn't have Elistan to guide them to the right spots!) They even got my wife cake on the second day because they noticed it was her birthday. Hotel setup was great, and when we mentioned we were on our honeymoon, Elistan told the hotel and we got some nice chocolates on arrival. Did the 20-person groups on the big tour company hikes look miserable? I meaaan compared to how much fun were having, yes. On the first day, Elistan and James were both kind and patient with us on the trek and SO knowledgeable about the history and the geography of the Sacred Valley and showed us so many cool orchids! They also got amazing photos and videos of us. Elistan also navigated us through the line & ticketing mess that is MP and gave us an in-depth tour of circuit 3 on the second day You really have to do the trail while you're in Peru, and doing it with Allyn Pacha felt like we doing it with strong trek leaders, organized coordinators, and best of all, good people + friends. You're paying the same price or less as much bigger companies, and getting the personal touch and a way better quality of life from a really caring and knowledgeable operator. We would always recommend them to all our family and friends, and we will be seeing them on our future Peru trips!
