My guide was James, excellent young man who took us to places that i did not know. It was fantastic. This tour is free BUT PLEASE bring $30 or more tip so you can pay the guide, I certainly taught it was worth way more.
It was good value & great information about Calgary both past & present. A really good way to start our stay in Calgary.
I found this experience pretty disappointing. I have done free walking tours all over the world and it was embarrassing that the worse one I have been on is in my own city. I found the guide stumbled over a lot of his content, would speak towards what he was talking about instead of to the group which made it hard to hear him. Also SUPER disappointed that there was no proper land acknowledgement AND no talking about the indigenous population in and around Calgary. It was breezed over and that was upsetting. Found by the end of the tour, lots of the folks on the tour were coming to me and my friend for information about the city. What I can say that is positive is I learned a few things about a few of the older buildings downtown... but again when I had questions the guide didn't have answers.
Excellent tour with a very knowledgeable guide.
Excellent three hour walking tour. Great overview of downtown Calgary. Lots of history, architecture, art, and a fun stop at the library. Our guide, Michael, was very informative and interesting. This is a great way to get an overview of the city and meet some new people along the way.
Great walking tour of Calgary for an interesting overview of the city with an amazing and knowledgeable guide — just do it!!!!
Enjoyed this very interesting tour of Calgary. The first half was the best and it did run a little long. I would cut the last 30 min (located on the eastside), in particular the parking lot experience.
Tour was very informative, we learned a lot about Calgary. Michael was an excellent guide with deep knowledge about city and history.
