The sites were amazing! Thank you for ordering such an amazing day and easy current to row in. We saw amazing shorebirds, even spoon bills and had a very relaxed paced row around the harbor. I am not very athletic and yet I haven't been too uncomfortable after a day of paddling! Thank you Alan for a great day! Oh, and thank you for making my brother jealous that he didn't choose to come along :)

Such an amazing day on the water and we were spoiled right from the moment of being picked up. Our host for the day was Sarah. She was amazingly organised and was an outstanding host. You don't need to bring anything as everything is supplied and they are quality accessories from life vests to additional clothing. Once on the water it was just fun with Sarah advising us of the history of the area. Sarah was able to explain so much on the day from the history of the area and Quail Island. How cool to be kayaking in what was once a volcano! Morning tea and lunch was supplied and was exceptional. Even tea, coffee and hot chocolate as options. The pace of the day is comfortable. We were novices at kayaking and it was easy. I can't recommend this trip higher for the experience, the quality of the guide and the fun.

Booked my trip two months in advance and it was cancelled at the last minute by the operator leaving me no time to make alternate arrangements. 8 days later still waiting for a refund.

I'm sorry to hear that you were unable to find an alternative activity and that our tour did not meet the minimum participant requirement for operation. For your reference, we did send a message at the time of booking to inform you about the status of your tour, including the fact that it hadn’t met the necessary numbers and outlining your options as a solo traveller including that booking would stay open until 5 pm the day before. I would have appreciated the opportunity to assist you directly regarding your refund, which we processed at the time of cancellation. I have taken the initiative to follow up with Viator this morning after reviewing your message, and I expect to have a progress update within the next few hours. Thank you for your understanding, and I will keep you informed as I receive updates.
Fantastic day kayaking. Sarah was so well organised - clear instructions, plenty of tea and cakes, interesting route. Very easy for us as we were picked up (even though I gave the wrong address), kitted up and dropped off at end of day. My husband is experienced but this was new to me but couldn’t have gone better. Sarah is a great guide and instructor which made this an outstanding day for us. Amazing scenery and history.

This was an absolutely wonderful experience, easily the best of our trip to Christchurch. During our vacations we always like to get out and do some more adventurous experiences that have a physical component, hiking, paddling, etc. and this 100% fit the bill. The views were wonderful and our guide Nate was just a wealth of information about the area, wildlife, and history. Everything about the experience was so professional and just made us want to explore more of what they have to offer. I highly recommend reaching out on you next trip to Christchurch.

Very nice Sea-kayaking in charteris bay. Sarah who was our instructor was very kind and friendly. I started as a beginner. But with her kind instruction, had no problem doing kayaking whole day. I highly recommend this course for anyone who would like to adventure Governors bay and charteris bay.
