The experience was incredible. They picked us up from the Ritz (which is about the most isolated hotel on the island), and picked up other folks along the way. About 10-12 or so people per tour, so it's intimate enough to feel special. Our guide Kaden was awesome and super knowledgeable. He took extra care to make sure one of the older ladies on the tour felt safe and could navigate some of the tougher parts (she had acl surgery a few months ago, so was a little uneasy through a few parts). He was also an eagle eye, spotting small lizards, a wild pineapple, and other fauna and flora we would have missed otherwise. It was not only a hike, but also a bit of a history lesson, which we always appreciate. The hike itself was about 4 hours. We stopped a couple of times for swimming and rock jumping. They provided a sandwich, chips and water for lunch. They even had backpacks to move our stuff to so we wouldn't ruin ours. Next time we come to Maui, we're definitely booking with them again.

Our guide was with Kaden, and he was awesome! He did a great job pointing out different kinds of plants and was very informative. The hike itself wasn't too difficult, the only times I slipped were when I wasn't paying attention to where I was walking (the scenery is too beautiful). It was only around 4-5 hours and wasn't too hot since we were in the shade pretty much all day. We saw a few waterfalls and my boyfriend got to jump off a rock into a small pool. This was one of the last things we did in Maui and it was a great way to end the trip!

We did our hike with Mick and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide. He was extremely knowledgeable about the history of Maui and told lots of great stories. He was patient and very friendly. He took great photos and the most beautiful spots for all the families in the group. Thank you Mick for making our vacation to Maui an unforgettable one.

Our rainforest and waterfall hike in Maui was absolutely magical, and we have Dave, our Australian guide, to thank for making it unforgettable. His knowledge of the local flora was impressive—he pointed out plants and trees we never would have noticed on our own and explained their significance with genuine passion. But what really made the difference was his kindness and attentiveness to our group throughout the entire hike. He made sure we felt safe navigating the trails, and when we reached the waterfall for our swim, he created such a welcoming atmosphere that we could just relax and soak in the beauty of the moment. The combination of the lush, vibrant rainforest, the refreshing waterfall pool, and his wonderful guidance made for a day we'll never forget. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Maui who wants an authentic, enriching nature experience.

This was one of the best excursions I’ve ever done. Our guide was Joel, and he was so knowledgeable of the island and nature surrounding us. He was nice enough to give us tips on other things to do while in Maui. I highly recommend this adventure!

Our family had a wonderful rainforest adventure with Hike Maui. Our guide, Naomi, was super friendly and very knowledgeable. We had a 59 year old, two 42 year olds, and a 16 year old in our group, and everyone felt safe and comfortable hiking, swimming, and jumping into the water. The excursion was very reasonably priced, we had a full 3.5 hours of fun, and would highly recommend this activity for anyone!

We did this hike in 2022 and loved it. We redid it in 2026 and had an even better time, somehow. Definitely would recommend!

Amazing! Our guides, Naomi and Jez were an amazing team who made our family trip fun and importantly safe. They were so attentive but let us explore. It was fun. Some of us went into the waterfalls and some jumped into the water. They showed knowledge and their care of the eco environment. Our age range from teens to 70’s and everyone unanimously agreed that it was great experience. Highly recommended. Thanks!!
