We did a mixed age group (77 years to mid 30's) with one disabled elderly person and the buggy was perfect! The small group experience makes this trip far and above being in a herd of 10-20 vehicles. Our guide was great, very concerned that all was well and really knowledgeable about the area. Bring a face covering and a jacket. The weather can change and there is a good bit of dust. We had a mixed group with buggy and ATV's. There isn't as much off road as I would have liked---but our son says his wife would enjoy it more because there wasn't as much off road. To each his own. The equipment worked well.
Be ready to be amazed ! Our guide, David , made us feel like we knew him for years. He was very knowledgeable and very caring. Be sure to bring a sweatshirt and a water. Words can't explain the beauty of the island and the fun seeing it while driving a buggy .
This is such an incredible experience! I’m a local and it was the first time I did buggy off road and I can totally recommend it! From the beginning until the end, it was 4 hours of fun and amazing views (we’ve been in less touristic places that our worth a visit!). Be ready for some dust and mosquitoes, but that’s just part of the experience ;) our guide Pedro Almeida made the whole experience even better! He explained everything and even shared some history of the view points. I totally recommend this!
Amazing experience!!!!! Took back roads and scenic views was able to stop for photos in less crowded areas and enjoyed the local atmosphere.
The buggies were a fun ride! The island had beautiful scenery! The tour guide was well-informed regarding the entire island. In short, he was amazing!
MUST DO!!! We had so much fun! It was a small group tour which is better. The buggy was in good condition. I would suggest bringing a coat and wearing sneakers.
Great experience for small groups. Two couples traveling together and saw all of the vantage points of the caldera. Patient and friendly guide. Even went above and beyond when we arrived as one of us left a phone in our cab and he made sure it was returned the hotel before we left. Highly recommend this tour!
Great experience with the Azores off road!!!!! We were a group of 7 people and the guide accompanied us throughout the trip showing the best sights of the seven cities!
Pedro was a tremendous host. His patience and knowledge of the islands history made this trip exceptional. I would recommend 100% and I’ll definitely be back.
