The thermas are very outdated. At the entrance, no one warns that the tank principla is for older than 14 and therefore, our son of 11, can not have access. It was limited to small hot and cold water tanks. The towels can not be rented: they are bought at gold price, so if you think to save some money when going to these "cheap" thermas go prevented.
The baths are dated and tired. No clear signs on where to go and the outdoor area was closed (fine) but lots of tape everywhere and not loved. Not a pleasant experience. So sad it’s the only child friendly one around
Lots of amazing pools and a brilliant range in temperature so it suits all people. Also lots of slides that you need to be 1.2 metres at the shoulder height for. Overall a brilliant day trip on a beautiful island in Budapest.
I bought tickets on Trip Advisor and wasn't let in because it was sold out. I will be requesting a refund but in the meantime stuck at the entrance with 7 and 9-year-olds who are having meltdowns in 100 degree heat.
We bought tickets for 2 adults and 3 children via Viator only to be refused entry as we were only sent 2 adult QR codes and none for the children (despite paying for them). 3 visits from a supervisor (and 45 mins) later, we were eventually told we need to buy for the children and he marched off. When queried, Viator initially said we didn’t need tickets for the children before changing to saying we needed to buy for them. Ended up having to buy 3 more tickets. Poor customer service from both Viator and the park. Should have been easy to sort out as we had proof of purchase. Do not buy via Viator.
After several days of a lot of walking in the city as a tourist it was nice to take a whole day here.
We enjoyed these baths so much that we went twice during our four day trip. The baths were quite quiet when we visited (May). There are thermal indoor baths which were lovely and warm. Outside there is a thermal bath with a fountain the middle which was lovely and warm too - although quite shallow. Further along are the outdoor heated pools which had rapids, jets and bubbles etc. They seem to rotate between all of them at various times which kept the kids entertained working out what was going to come on when. The water is reasonable clean too. It was very cold when you're not in the water as the bath is located on Margaret Island and it seemed to have plenty of cold wind blowing across it often. Even though we really enjoyed the baths - and paid about £20 for our family, there are some things to consider. 1. The slides aren't open until the summer. I'm sure there is something on their website explaining this but we didn't see it, so we were a little disappointed to not get to use the slides. Although, we enjoyed it so much we went back again! 2. The staff are utterly miserable, surly and rude. I mean really surly. Don't expect pleasantries or smiles or helpfulness. 3. The indoor thermal baths can't be used by kids under 14. 4. Even when the weather was 23 deg + it is freezing walking around - take extra towels or a robe. 5. As the baths are on Margaret Island, we think there is toll charge for taxis. We used Bolt mostly but not all cars seemed to want to pay the toll to pick us up. There is a 10 minute walk to the barriers where more taxis are available. 6. The locker system is very good - you use your wrist band to lock / unlock the lockers. I imagine in summer, when everything is open, this place really is a great day. With only a few pools open we still spent around 3 hours there on both days. Worth a visit - just don't expect any pleasantries.
Nice spa however the majority of pools were closed including all of the children’s pools. We booked using trip advisor and it was a bit of a faff getting tickets. They sent us e-tickets that I added to my Apple Pay but when we got to the spa they wouldn’t accept them and want QR codes. It got sorted in the end but I don’t think it was worth the price considering the amount of facilities closed.
Enjoyed the day there the thermal pool indoor and out plus the sauna and steam room good value for money cheaper than some of the others, tied in well with a day at Margaret Isleland
Was great to escape from the 35 degrees heat, not sure how to get the sunbeds but overall had a great day, plenty of eating and drinking options - watch out for the orange slide scared the adults !
