Boat Tour: Cave Tour on The North Coast

We highly recommend this memorable experience! Thanks to our guides we got to learn about the islands volcanic activity and visit many caves. This will allow you to appreciate the views and sounds of nature. It was also very kind to have a break to warm up with a drink of tea and taste some Azorean cookies. Thank you so much to the guides for making this a great experience for us and the woman on board who got to celebrate her birthday with a musical reverberation thanks to the caves. A must try!

Although the ocean was slightly rough, we had an amazing time!! What an adventure to get to see the island in this way. Felt safe the entire time on board with Miguel and Louis who also provided us with some history of the islands volcanic past. We even stopped in a calm area for local tea and cookies. Highly recommend!!

This was definitely one of the best highlights of our trip! Luis was extremely informative about not only the formations but also history of the island. The captain did such a great job navigating in and out of the caves. It was so neat to be able to go in and around. The warm tea and local cookies were such a great touch also. I would highly recommend this your tour to any of my family and friends coming to the island.

The tour with Azorean Seascape was astonishing!! They kept us updated about a slight time delay in advance and the conditions expected for our 3.5 hour tour. My husband was a bit skeptical going on a Zodiac boat due to mobility knee issues, but all of his worries melted away when we were enthusiastically greeted by Owner = Louis and his Captain = NuNu. Louis started this company 2 years ago and they have a deep respect, understanding and appreciation for the unique north coast of San Miguel coast and caves. Louis is a native of Riberia Grande and was a tremendous navigator, showing/telling us all the history of the volcanic coast. NuNu handled the boat so smoothly in the 2-3' waves of that day. They had so much care for each passenger, ensuring everyone was comfortable and enjoying themselves. This tour was the highlight of our vacation in the Azores and we can't thank them enough for our morning tour!!!

Luis & the boat operator were fantastic; knowledgeable and fun. My only complaint is that the co should institute a cutoff wait time…8 of 10 were on time; 2 arrived 30 mins late making the rest of us wait.
