Fun, informative, and delicious

We had a great time! The tour was very informational about the coffee process from planting a coffee plant to brewing a cup of coffee. The coffee was delicious and the people were even better! Hector was our driver and was very friendly and Gabriel was our guide. She was fun and very knowledgeable! I would fully recommend this tour.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us! We’re so glad you enjoyed learning each step of the coffee journey, from planting to that final cup...and that it tasted as good as it smells! We’re especially happy you connected with our team. Hector and Gabriela will be so glad to hear your kind words. As a family-run operation, welcoming guests like friends and sharing both our coffee and our people is at the heart of what we do. We truly appreciate your recommendation and are grateful you chose to spend part of your time with us on the farm. Wishing you many great cups of coffee ahead!

Must do!

This is a fantastic tour! Diego was my guide, ad was very knowledgeable. The plantation is family owned and e process of making coffee start to finish was educational. The coffee was delicious! I would recommend a different spot for lunch as it wasn’t my favorite, but all in all, I had a fantastic time.

Learn and experience from the small coffee farmers

The tour was a long day mostly due to the notorious Bogota traffic. Despite the travel we had a wonderful day and the views were amazing. The guide Diego was great in explaining all aspects of coffee. The farmers Elena and Carlos were so sweet and warm, they shared their knowledge and experiences about making coffee so passionately. It was just a delight! The lunch and coffee tasting was delicious. There were so many varieties of birds and flowers it was amazing. Would highly recommend this trip!!

Family coffee tour

We did this tour with three kids ages 6, 8 and 17 and it was loved by all. The coffee farm owner and his family were so welcoming to our kids and invited us into their home for a true and unique coffee experience. Even if you think you don’t like coffee you will after this tour. Our guide was so patient with our kids and all of our questions and did a great job explaining everything to us. It was one of the highlights of our trips.

Great visit to a beautiful, humble family farm

Beautiful location. Learned the process from start to finish. Picked the beans, peeled them, roasted them, “skinned” them, ground them up, made the coffee, and drank it. Then a nice lunch…everything organic and home grown. A delightful experience, and a sweet family, embracing you like one of their own. Can’t say enough good things about this tour.

Great company, not worth the drive time for the coffee farm

The tour group was great! Both our driver and tour guide were really nice and informative during the entire tour. I will say that the coffee farm itself is very small. The drive is about 3 hours each way (the traffic is insane). For us, it took 5 hours to drive home because of the traffic and a car accident. In my opinion, its not worth spending 6 hours in a car for the 1 hour coffee tour.

Hi! Thank you for joining us. We enjoyed touring you and getting to know your family! We did have very bad traffic that day as the end of December is a busy time for holiday travels and the roads leaving the city get very congested. We typically depart for this tour around 7.00am but you requested a late departure for 9.00am. We explained the risk for heavy traffic that day and we asked you to leave as early as possible. We arrived to your hotel at 8.45am hoping to depart on time but your family only came down at 9.25am after we wrote two messages urging you to hurry because the city was getting crazy busy with cars. Unfortunately on the way back from the tour, a fatal accident on the road closed down the whole highway for over an hour and we had to detour to get around it. We regret the inconvenience this caused you and thousands of other travelers that day and it is definitely not the experience we want to offer! But road accidents do happen from time to time and they are beyond our control. We arrived to the coffee farm around 12.30pm, we did the whole coffee tour, we had lunch and then we visited a coffee purchaser in the town until 3.20pm, so we spent almost 3 hours talking, picking, making and tasting coffee. It is not true that the tour only lasted one hour but perhaps time flies when you are having a good time. Based on your review, we will no longer allow delayed departures for this tour in order to prevent delays and lessen the chance of incidents on the road. We thank you again for choosing us and we wish you the best in your future travels.

A Unique Hands-On Experience to Experience Coffee Farming

This tour was a lot of fun!! What made it stand it out from the other tours was the hands-on nature of the tour. Instead of simply watching other people perform various stages of the coffee production, you actually got to collect coffee beans, remove the shells, grind the beans, winnow them, and roast them. You got to experience what being on a coffee farm was like. Also, the tour guide was helpful and the farmers were friendly and hospitable. If you visit Bogotá, I would highly recommend this tour.

Worth it! A highlight of our trip!

My partner and two teens and I did this tour, the kids were very reluctant about an all day coffee tour, but this turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. We all really enjoyed it. You really get to learn first hand how coffee is made. You experience the whole things, textures, smells, tastes, picking, crushing, grinding, roasting, all of it, and it's just wonderful. We had two guides and they were very informative, knowledgeable, and just all around like-able individuals. Food was excellent also. We were provided a meal at the cafetal that was lovely, and we also stopped at a little place on the way to the cafetal where the guides made some great recommendations. Overall, wonderful experience, highly recommend.

Complete traditional coffee process from picking to roasting to drinking

I enjoyed climbing on the side of the hill to pick the coffee while learning about everything that can affect the taste. Every step of the process, from picking the berries to removing the skin to drying, roasting, and brewing, was done old-school. They also served an excellent homemade lunch.
