An excellent informative guided tour of Lisbon taking in some of the sights along with a talk on the history of the city and Portugal itself. I would highly recommend it and Cristos our guide was very pleasant and engaged with our group. The two stops for a Portuguese cake and drink was great end to the walk.
The Best Way to Discover Lisbon — Like a Local 🇵🇹 At the last minute, I decided to book a walking tour with Inside Lisbon Tours, and I am so glad I did. Our tour guide, Filipa, was absolutely fantastic. She was incredibly knowledgeable about Lisbon’s history and culture, but what made the tour special was that it felt like having a local give you their personal roadmap to the city. I found myself taking mental notes the entire time—not just about the major sights, but all the little hidden gems, shortcuts, and tucked-away places she showed us. One of my favorite discoveries was learning about Lisbon’s public elevators. I had no idea you could use them to move between the different levels of the city! Knowing you can take an elevator from the lower part of Lisbon up toward the castle instead of tackling another giant hill was information worth the tour alone. 😂 And it was incredibly inexpensive! We also got to sample a few Portuguese treats along the way, including a pastel de bacalhau (Portuguese codfish cake) with a little wine, which was such a nice touch. And, of course, we finished with a pastel de nata, the famous Portuguese custard tart. This tour was a wonderful, relaxed, and very reasonably priced introduction to Lisbon. You get the history and the landmarks, but you also get those little pieces of local knowledge that you simply wouldn’t know walking around on your own. I would absolutely recommend Inside Lisbon Tours—and especially Filipa—to anyone visiting Lisbon. It felt less like following a tour guide and more like having a local friend show you how to really experience the city. 🇵🇹❤️
Pedro was very knowledgeable about Portuguese history and explained things well. His explanations were also fun which kept us engaged!
This is a really good tour to get to know Lisbon. Our guide João was very knowledgeable.
Pedro was an exceptional guide, both very warm and friendly. I really enjoyed his almost stand-up comedy style of storytelling, which made the cultural information stick in your memory without ever feeling heavy or hard to follow. He also gave a lot of great tips, some of which we’re trying out now. He gave recommendations not only for Lisbon, where we did the tour, but also for Porto. A truly excellent guide!
Loved our three-hour walking tour of the old city with Filippa. Easy to meet up. She’s extremely thoughtful and well informed. It wasn’t expensive (about $15pp) so relatively no-frills. Saw everything we wanted. Definitely recommend!
Pedro was great, funny and really charming
Our taxi driver dropped us off at the wrong location. Much to our dismay we felt lost and was not going to meet our guide in time for our trip. We contacted the phone number given to us on our display page hoping to reschedule. Very much to our surprise we were guided to our Tour guide by video from our phone and voice commands from the touring operator. Made the trip and very much enjoyed ourselves.
Natalia was our guide for the tour and I can say that she is absolutely the best. She makes the tour fun. We had a 12 year old with us on the tour and he absolutely enjoyed it . Natalia makes the history fun instead of it being boring. I would recommend this tour to get to know the neighborhoods and the history of lisbon.
Alex was a wonderful guide. She was extremely knowledgeable and made the tour pleasant and fun. I highly recommend it
