Juan Luis was impressive with his knowledge of the town and the food. Great explanations and history without getting into politics
To be clear- this is not a food tour of traditional German food. We enjoyed the 3 stops for food and especially the stop at the Beer Garden. We even went back there the next day for dinner and more beer! Anna was our guide. She was funny, shared information about our stops, but also about interesting areas along our walking route. There was a mix up with start location- which was the fault of what was on the Viator ticket information, but with a phone call, we were able to find Anna. The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is because on a his tour, there was the two of us and one more person. That person was close in age to Anna and they obviously hit it off very quickly. There was a great deal of talking between the two of them. For a bit, we felt like intruders to their conversation. Overall, we enjoyed the food, beer and information, but it did feel awkward at times with some of the conversation.
What a great time we had on this food tour with Anna! She is so knowledgeable, not only about the delicious food, but sharing history of the city as we progressed. It was interesting to hear the link between the history of the food and the history of the city. I highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to enjoy delicious food along with an engaging historical tour.

This tour exceeded our expectations and was one of the highlights of our trip. It was incredibly informative, engaging, and thoughtfully presented from beginning to end. Our guide was exceptional—her knowledge was extensive, and her enthusiasm was contagious. It was obvious that she is passionate about the history and truly enjoys sharing it with others. What I appreciated most was her honesty. Rather than glossing over difficult or controversial topics, she presented the facts in a balanced, straightforward manner. Her authenticity made the experience feel genuine and gave us a much deeper understanding and appreciation of the history and culture. She welcomed questions, kept the group engaged, and shared fascinating details that brought everything to life. We left feeling like we had learned so much while thoroughly enjoying ourselves. If you’re looking for a tour that is educational, entertaining, and led by an outstanding guide, I highly recommend this one. We had a fantastic time and would gladly do it again!

Juan made the tour personal, relaxed, local, with history, we wish we had done it the first or second night as we saw areas and food places we definitely wanted to return too , come hungry lots of lovely fresh homemade food!! unfortunately it was our last evening in Berlin, so we never got to go back to these fabulous places..
What a lovely tour. Marta was so knowledgeable about the history of Berlin and it's culture. Food was great in 3 different eateries followed up with a beer tasting session. A great way to stroll around the city,eating and drinking as you go. Highly recommend
