We had a great private tour to the Cu Chi tunnels from Saigon. Our guide Chris was excellent – very friendly and extremely informative. He provided deep insights into the story and made the experience really exciting for both of us. The driver was also very professional and the whole tour was perfectly organised. Highly recommended if you want to gain a deeper understanding of this historic place. Thanks for a great morning!
It was overall pretty great, but felt slightly quicker pace at times. I wanted a little more explanation on the history and background of the war and certain exhibits. I probably could’ve asked more questions, but I feel like a tour guide should automatically give you this information. Our tour guide Chris and the driver Zao were both really nice and Chris did answer any questions when asked.
This was a fascinating tour, well worth the extra time on the road compared to the site closer to Saigon. The crowds--at least when we went on a monday afternoon--were minimal, and the exhibits are well done. The engineering behind the tunnel network is impressive, and at Cu Chi, you can really start to get a sense what it was like for combatants. These tunnels haven't been widened to accommodate tourists (at least not as much), and some tunnels are very small (I'm just under six feet and couldn't squeeze into one of them), but this only adds to the experience. Khoa was an excellent guide, and we enjoyed his informative presentation throughout the drive and our time at Cu Chi itself (he also has a great singing voice!). We'd highly recommend him!
As advertised. We had a great trip to the Ben Duoc tunnels with our knowledgable guide Tan. Tan was a complete professional and expertly guided us around the grounds making it feel like we had the tunnels to ourselves. Easy car trip from HCM City. Tan even helped us stop and buy some road side fruit and snacks on the way to and from the tunnels.
The tour is as promised - less touristy, more personalized, experienced guide and family friendly (2 adults, 1 elderly, 1 child). Giang (person I first liaised with) was very quick to respond and extremely helpful with our requests (esp. for the child seat that we don’t end up using!). Tan (our guide) was funny, knowledgable and gave us an abbreviated version of Vietnam war history while we were on the way to site. I appreciated his explanation a lot more when we get to location as one of the shows were only orated in Vietnamese. Tan was also very helpful at taking pictures and never miss a beat for photo opportunity. Highly recommend this tour.

Thank you again for your kind words and recommendation. We wish you all the best on your upcoming journeys. The Maika Tours Team
My wife and I just returned from a wonderful private half-day tour with Harry to the Cu Chi tunnels at Ben Duoc. Harry was the best guide we had on our 10-day trip to Vietnam. He was so knowledgeable and personable, generous with his time (our tour went over two hours longer than advertised, at our request), and very engaging. His English was perfect and he was genuinely interested in answering all of our questions. The tour itself was also great. Very comfortable and air-conditioned car ride to Ben Duoc, which was a little farther away than the Ben Dinh tunnels, but totally worth it in our opinion because there were no crowds and we could explore at our own pace and leisure. On the way there and back, Harry provided us with a wealth of information about past and current issues in Vietnam. Highly recommend.
Dear fredric2013, We're absolutely delighted that you had such a wonderful private half-day tour with Harry to the Cu Chi Tunnels at Ben Duoc. Your kind words mean the world to us, and we’ll be sure to pass along your compliments to Harry—he’ll be delighted to know his efforts made your experience so memorable. Thank you for travelling with us and recommending us. We wish you all the best! The Maika Tours Team
We had the best tour guide, Chris, show us around the Cu Chi Tunnel, Liberation area and Shooting range. On our way we had a bonus stop over at a local lacquerware run by war victims of the Agent Orange and saw how these beautiful products were made. Our tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable, he gave us a quick history lesson on the War in Vietnam which we thoroughly enjoyed! The tour itself was very well organised, flexible with regards to things that we wanted to see/do. We had a pleasant journey to and fro, with a good driver take us around. The highlight of course was the tunnel experience at Ben Duoc, and it wasn't crowded! Overall, would highly recommend this tour and do ask for Chris! 😊
Dear Rowena S, We're so grateful for your 5-star review. Chris's passion for sharing the history of the Vietnam War is evident, and we're glad you enjoyed his ínights. It's also great that the bonus stop at the lacquerware workshop catered to your interests. Thank you again for sharing your rating with us and the community. The Maika Tours Team
