This is oke of the best choices for a trip at the algarve you can make! We were a little unsure because we are no experianced riders. But Nelson is the best guide, he knows, understands and controlls his horses - and loves them, which was also very important to us. The tour provides absolutely breathtaking views, and an expreriance you wont ever forget - all from the back of the horse. We came there from Albufeira because we read all the reviews carefully and we were not disappointed! We absolutely loved it! Also Nelson grew up in that area, so he can tell you a lot of interesting facts about the surroundings. Just dont forget sunscreen if its a sunny day and you will have the best time!

I wish I could rate this experience more than 5 because it was so phenomenal. The owner has so much passion for his horses, and has such incredible storytelling from experiences. I will be recommending this company and any other experiences offered to friends and family because I had such an amazing time. I will definitely be rebooking when I visit Portugal again! Such an amazing experience I can’t stop talking about it, the owner cares greatly for the customers experience and passion for the art of horses. The owner has phenomenal advice to give both personal and in regard to horses, he’s extremely experienced, friendly and passionate. Be open to learning, and make sure you’re respectful to the owner and the animals! Be humble and respectful, listen well and have an amazing time! 😊

This was the first activity I booked for us for our holiday to Albufeira, which is just over an hour away by car. The drive in itself is worth it, you see so much of what I imagine is ‘real’ Portugal. I’ve been learning to ride the last year and my other half has never even sat on a horse before (in fact, he would even say he was a bit scared!) but both of us absolutely adored it. The horses are beautiful, steady and have their own wonderful and unique personalities. We got to see so much more than you would have on a standard tour, unspoilt and amazing landscapes. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly - bonus points for the gorgeous dog that joined us too!

I had hoped to ride a Luistano and Olive (as I nicknamed her) is a young well-tempered Luistano! Our guide was amazing. He’s a seasoned professional rider who offered advice and tips on horseback riding on the tour! And the scenery was lovely; the sunset in the beach was beautiful was promised. We got to canter on the beach as we were both experienced riders. Those horses love to go!

We had such an amazing experience with Carrapateira Extreme Tours! This was our first time horseback riding, and it couldn’t have gone better. The horses were incredibly calm and well-trained. Our tour guide was so kind, fun, and easy to talk to. He made the whole experience feel relaxed and personal, and you could tell he really cared about making sure we had a great time. He even extended our ride a bit since there wasn’t anyone scheduled after us, which we really appreciated. The scenery was absolutely stunning—so peaceful and beautiful, it felt like something out of a movie. On top of that, he took photos and videos for us throughout the ride, which made it even more special to look back on. Overall, such a memorable experience and something we would 100% recommend to anyone visiting the area!

It was my very first horse riding experience, and everything went perfectly! My horse was so calm and patient - she clearly knew what she was doing and made me feel completely safe. I already miss her!! Our guide was professional and attentive. She explained everything clearly and made sure everyone felt comfortable, no matter their experience level. The scenery was absolutely beautiful - breathtaking views all along the way. The hour passed far too quickly! If you’ve never tried horse riding before, this is the perfect place to start. The horses are gentle, the guide is great, and the whole experience leaves you smiling long after it’s over^^
