We took this tour on our first day in Munich. It's an interesting and easy-going way to get acclimated to the beer culture in Bavaria. We learned about the different breweries of Munich and some history and contemporary information about Oktoberfest as we explored the Oktoberfest museum. The only minor disappointment was that while we visited Hofbräuhaus briefly, we did not stay there for a beer or any food. We were told that the food there is not consistently good and so it was better to have the dinner in a different restaurant. Hofbräuhaus was a big part of what drew us to this particular tour, so it was a small let down to only walk through it and not have a beer there. The guide was knowledgeable and funny. Overall I would recommend this tour to others.
Thanks Leeza for your input, and review, much appreciated. We go to the Hofbrühaus so you can learn the history behind it, and experience what it looks like and the atmosphere inside. We do not however stay inside for a beer or food, as it is not viable for a group who wants to get to know each other, it tends to be very loud. This is why we go to a beer hall a lot older than the Hofbraühaus where this is possible. There is of course always the option to go back there after the tour. Thanks for the recommendation.
We had a wonderful evening mixing beer food and a walking tour of Munich. What better way than to get a “taste “ of Munich. Leon was a wonderful host and tour guide with plenty of information , beer knowledge, and suggestions to enhance our visit to Munich. A great evening experience.
Absolutely wonderful experience with Leon!!! Would recommend, tour is informative but fun! Make sure you ask Leon about St Giovanni and the pizza peel.

We had a wonderful time with Adrian on the Bavarian Bier tour. He’s a knowledgeable and friendly guide. We immediately tried a Paulener beer and got to know our fellow travelers. Had pretzels and more beer at the Oktoberfest museum. Got to know the history. Finished with a great Bavarian meal

A great place to start a Munich vacation. Bernd was excellent. He explained how the history of the city and beer are tied together. The beer and food were amazing.
