It was such a beautiful place to visit, definitely worth it,stunning inside and outside Our guide was so informative and very helpful and patient, brilliant job
Our guide was great, and very knowledgeable! It was very busy the day we were there and she navigated us around the crowds.
The tour was very organized and informative about the Sagrada Familia. The tour guide was great! I would recommend it.
When we finally found the guide after some searching, who showed up not 15 minutes as agreed but only 5 minutes before the start at 11 AM, we asked him about the missing "green sign" that was supposed to make him recognizable in the crowd. Such a sign has never existed before, and the meeting points have also changed more frequently lately. This already indicated a lack of organization. The WhatsApp message we received, stating that we would only wait until 2:20 PM, confirmed this assumption. After a brief but informative introduction, Davide led us to the entrance and quickly brought us through the security checkpoint. Everything went smoothly up to this point. After the distribution of the guide systems, we were informed that unfortunately we could not do the tower tour, as the Sagrada Familia would close at 12:30 PM. The reason was the event in front of the basilica (Tour de France). The organizers could have known or anticipated this beforehand. Thus, the visit to the most beautiful church in the world turned into a much too hectic tour without the expected grand finale. Davide tried to make the best of it, but the time was simply too short to explore on our own again. Unfortunately, one cannot get new "appointments" on short notice to make up for it and must leave Barcelona without a relaxed experience. What a pity! A partial refund was promised to us on short notice. We are curious!
Good morning, the meeting points for the tour have been changed due to the building works at the Sagrada Familia. We are very sorry for the inconvenience, but the works on the monument are beyond our control; we are trying to adapt to the situation as best we can. Furthermore, the event that took place at the Sagrada Família was due to an official function; there is nothing we can do about this. The monument decided to close and access was not possible. The refund for the part of the tour covering the towers has been processed correctly, as you were unable to see them. Thank you, best regards
I left a five star review because David was a great guide. But our tour got cut short and our ability to climb the tower was cancelled because of the Tour de France was leaving that afternoon from Barcelona for the first time ever. Obviously none of the is Viator’s fault, but the disappointment was extreme.
Finding the meeting point was very stressful because the instructions do not make it clear you are meeting a person in the street rather than at a premises, it made us think we had been scammed! Once we saw the tours for today person it was very straight forward. We had Isaac as our guide who was epic with his magic umbrella and kept everyone engaged. Felt the tour was quite basic for the money based on other tours but at least you could stay on site and explore the whole site.
Our guide, Tina, was very knowledgeable and helpful. She provided historical information by weaving stories into her narrative. She managed the group well and made sure we were following along. The Sagrada is a must see in Barcelona.
Very hot, no AC in the church. Much of the tour is outside in the sun. Couldn’t hear the tour guide at all.
Good morning, We’re sorry you found it too hot and that your experience wasn’t as you’d hoped, but the weather is beyond our control. We hope to see you again soon, Best regards
There were various issues: 1-The language is incorrect. I reserved in Spanish and was given in English 2- Even though the guide did his job, there weee access issues that he was not aware of and made us walk more than it was necessary (my wife has mobility issues). But again, the guide was nice. 3-The person that received us, was very rude not only with us but with other customers too. You can verify that I use Viator in all my travels and so far and besides this experience, only once I complained and the situation was solved. If you need, do not hesitate to contact me.
The tour my wife and I experienced included the tower tour. Before the tour started, we received detailed updates the day before and the day of about the meeting place and that helped make it stress free. It was very nice having our own radio and headphones which allowed us to hear our guide quite well. There’s a lot of history and most of what you learn about during the tour pertains to Catholicism and the certain architectural choices made by the people responsible (mostly Gaudi) for designing the basilica. Really incredible place to be, even if you are not religious. The views from the tower portion of the tour are next level. You can see the whole city of Barcelona and there is plenty of photo ops. I would definitely recommend this.
