Anteriormente a capital do Reino Siamês (1351-1767), o Parque Histórico de Ayutthaya é um Patrimônio Mundial da UNESCO, onde os templos desmoronados e os Budas sem cabeça contam a história de uma civilização perdida pela invasão birmana. Não perca a cabeça de Buda icônica, sempre entrelazada nas raízes da árvore banyan. Em Damnoen Saduak, o mercado flutuante é um espetáculo vivo: barcos de madeira empilhados alto com frutas tropicais, especiarias e comida de rua tecem através de canais estreitos. A cultura do comércio de canais na Tailândia remonta ao século XIV, durante o reino de Ayutthaya (1351-1767), quando as vias navegáveis eram as principais estradas de comércio e vida diária. Depois vem o Mercado Ferroviário Maeklong — ao contrário de qualquer outra coisa no mundo. A linha ferroviária data de 1905, construída para conectar aldeias de pescadores costeiras a Banguecoque. This is an all day tour. But you get to see a lot. I loved it. I just wish I could get to each of these locations on my own. Our tour guide should have walked and talked at the same time. I wish she had described each tomb as we passed them... Instead she talked about all the Kings and how they came into power. Standing in one single location. Standing and not moving is hard on my legs. A chair or a bench would have been wonderful. I can't remember all kings. There were too many. If had she described them along with the tombs in the parks it would be easier to understand especially since I had to really listen hard due to the break in language. A guide from any of the parks would have been able to describe the park.

My family of five had a wonderful full-day tour with our guide, Shirley. She was incredibly accommodating and shared fascinating stories about each site we visited. The ride was comfortable, and our driver met us at the entrance of every stop, so we didn’t have to walk far in the heat. The train market and floating market were such fun experiences for the whole family. The temples and historical sites in Ayutthaya were absolutely breathtaking and completely exceeded our expectations.

Amazing experience! The floating market and train market excursion was one of the highlights of our trip to Thailand. Watching the train pass right through the market was unforgettable, and the floating market was full of unique souvenirs, and local charm, what an experience to do shopping while floating on a boat! Everything was well organized, and our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Thailand!
