My 16 year old twins and I had the most amazing time. My daughter absolutely loved exploring the waterfalls. My son was nervous, but the guide was amazing at giving him guidance and in not time he was feeling comfortable and enjoying the falls too. There had been downpours the day before and the natural waterslidw had roo much water, but we still enjoyed climbing the ladder and taking in the view. The food was delicious that was included. I would definitely recoomwnd the tour.
Visited Manuel Antonio with my 2 sons (ages 23 and 25) in May 2026, Damian @ Costa Rica Tropical Adventures was literally the best guide we've ever had for adventure vacationing. He's a pro in every way, generous with his friendship, expert guidance and knowledge of many aspects of Costa Rica. We hiked thru the rainforest, swam in and dove off of waterfalls, explored beach caves, and did a half-day whitewater rafting...all experiences were amazing. He attends to every detail and is just an awesome human. Top notch!
Damian took us on the most amazing tour of the beaches, caves, and waterfalls! We had a full day of adventure, just the two of us and Damian, who felt like a fast friend. We saw the most amazing sights and got to experience some local gems!
We had such a great experience on our waterfall and beach cave tour in Costa Rica with Damian as our guide. He has over 20 years of experience, and it really shows. Everything was incredibly well organized from start to finish, which made the whole day flow smoothly and stress-free. Damian speaks both English and Spanish fluently, so communication was easy, and he made the tour fun and engaging for everyone. He has a great personality and keeps the energy up while still being professional and attentive! I felt very safe and comfortable the entire time, which was especially important given some of the terrain. Damian is clearly very knowledgeable about the area and shares interesting insights along the way, which adds so much to the experience. I would highly recommend Damian to anyone visiting Costa Rica. If you’re looking for a guide who is experienced, fun, and reliable he’s the one to book!
We had such a great time. The day felt super personalized, we explored a hidden waterfall, spotted some wildlife, and enjoyed an amazing local lunch. Our guide was fun, friendly, and shared recommendations for other parts of our trip which was really helpful.
This tour was great -- It was the perfect mix of adventure and scenery. We visited the beach caves, went hiking, and explored a local waterfall where we tried cliff diving (emphasis on tried). Damian , our guide was incredibly knowledgeable about the area and made sure we felt safe and comfortable when exploring. If you’re looking for a fun, well-rounded adventure in Costa Rica, I highly recommend this tour!! Also, Damian is best translator in case you're not a Spanish speaker!
This was a super fun adventure! Damian is great, grew up in the states so speaks English perfectly and also Spanish as he has been living in CR for almost 30 years. Very knowledgeable about the area and places to go and when to go!! The waterfalls were awesome, we went to two different ones and Damian was so encouraging in having us fully experience the falls. The beach caves are so incredible and the ocean was perfect, we spent some time just relaxing and swimming in the ocean. Had a great lunch and did some souvenir shopping, Damian knows all the good places to go. Definitely recommend this adventure with Damian and if you’re lucky, you might even get to meet his adorable little dog, Nikki 😁
Mom and I decided to go on a guided adventure to be shown all the hidden gems in the area, come to find out the places our guide Mel took us to were places we had discovered on our own! Mel was able to pivot very quickly once we all realized the scenario we found ourselves in and brought us to some thermal pools just north of Uvita. What a treat! we had such a great time. Mel was super knowledgeable and made sure we were taken care of!
This was such a fun day! We chose Tropical Adventures because they offer smaller group experiences—and on this day, it was just me and my two boys (13 and 16). Damian, the owner, was our guide, and he made the day truly memorable. We were picked up from our hotel and headed to the first waterfall, which we had entirely to ourselves. As we were leaving, multiple vans were arriving—perfect timing! Next, we stopped at a charming café and outdoor market before heading to the beach and caves. It was high tide, so we couldn’t go into the caves, but that’s nature—something to keep in mind depending on when you visit. The beach itself was a highlight: fun waves, crystal-clear water, and not another soul in sight. Damian, a certified lifeguard, gave me peace of mind, especially since there's no lifeguard on duty at the beach. From there, we visited two more waterfalls—one with a platform to jump from and another you could slide down like a natural waterslide (my personal favorite). So much fun! My 16-year-old even did a 35-40 foot cliff jump with Damian guiding him safely. We wrapped up with a delicious meal at a local “soda” where Damian had pre-ordered for us—super convenient and tasty. He’s originally from the U.S. but has lived in Costa Rica since the '90s, and his knowledge of the area made the whole day even better. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this excursion to anyone visiting the Manuel Antonio/Quepos area. It was a perfect mix of adventure, nature, and local culture!
Damian was our guide, and I am so glad we chose this tour because he catered it to just what we wanted. My boys loved the cliff jumping and Damian made sure they did it safely while allowing them to have as much time as they wanted. He also timed the visit to each place such that it wasn't crowded and we were often the only ones there. Highly recommended!
