When I booked this tour I was told, and I wrote it down, to get our packet for the hunt at 491 Old SantaFe Trail at any time. Using Google Maps we walked around for 1 1/2 hrs trying to find that address. We finally ended up at the Visitors Information Center. They said they are a part of the scavenger hunt but they have no packet. They said it should have been on my phone. No one told me about putting anything on my phone. My group was tired and hot from just locating that address, and I was told the incorrect information so I called Viator and tried to cancel and get a refund. The person I spoke to was very kind BUT said they’d have to review what I was asking. I would just like to add that I have used Viator many times, in Europe as well as the US, and have been very pleased with every tour. I’m sorry to say that this one was a big disappointment!! I sincerely believe I should be granted a refund because we never participated in the hunt.
Unfortunately- all the information as to how and connect with the Scavenger Hunt is provided by Viator. We have reviewed the information that is provided and it correctly states how to access the game. I’m not sure if you lost the email or instructions but we are happy to authorize a refund with Viator since you did not play the game. Simply call our phone number on our Website and someone can help to sort out the issue.
We were four friends, we love the experience. We got to see everything around the town and had fun and laughed and enjoyed it.
Glad you had a great time on your Quest!! So good to hear that we helped to created such a fun day.
They never gave information about the hours, I wrote to get information, I called and the place was closed.
Decided to try this as a way to see the city and keep our seven year old engaged. Worked like a charm. Plenty of opportunities to choose to see sites along the way in depth, or not. Spent just under four hours. Interface is basic but worked fine for us. Lucky find!
Glad to hear you had a great time on your Quest with the family.
This was just so much fun!!! Getting to your around Sante Fe and complete the various puzzles and tasks. There were 3 of us and we were all so pleased. Highly recommend.
Glad to hear you had a great time on your Santa Fe Quest. So much to see in this beautiful town.
Learning about the city, which I had never before been to was an interesting experience. Some of the questions were difficult to answer given that one of the venues was rendered inaccessible due to the annual festival in the town square. I would love to do this sort of thing again.
Thanks for the review... glad you had fun in Santa Fe exploring the city on our Quest. Sorry that the town square was blocked. Luckily that would have only kept you from completing one of the Questions. Hope to see you playing in another city soon.
Good fun couldn’t get to clue #2 though, hope they update that. Learned a lot and got to walk the city with a family of six.
Want to see some of the historic back roads of Santa Fe? Take the Urban Adventure Quest Scavanger Hunt. We went slow. Stopped in a few cafés along the route. Found the instructions challenging, so read them carefully, but don't read into them. Take pictures and enjoy.
We had no idea what to expect, but we were on a Girl's Getaway weekend and wanted something fun to do - and this caught our fancy. We managed to select the coldest day of the week; 29 degrees, and being in the midst of COVID, it was hard to just pop in a store to warm up. We opted to take one of our "Pauses" and eat a quick lunch. And then we ran out of time so we used our second "Pause" until the next morning, where we finished our hunt. It was much warmer the second day, 35 degrees. The clues are fun, challenging without being frustrating, and each one was completely different. The quick clips that explained the history or background of the place we just "clued" rounded out the experience nicely, without it feeling like a boring lecture. We felt more tuned in to the culture and history of the city we were visiting. The walking between clues wasn't too far, and in our case, gave us a chance to get our blood moving to try and warm up given the chilly temps. We are eager to repeat this in our home town and utilize our kids so we can have two teams - we think it'll be a fun way to slip in some local facts and history. There was only one clue we couldn't work out because the pillar holding our clues was under renovation and it was just a bare framework - oops. There's a chance at the end of the hunt to fill out some updates for just that sort of issue. We had a little trouble at the get-go figuring out how to redeem our voucher on our cell phones, but someone was available by phone to help us. Phone support is very responsive and very friendly. We felt it was a super fun thing to do for a Girl's Getaway and much more unique that going for a mani-pedi.
We are so glad you had a great time on your Quest and were able to have fun our Amazing race type adventure, even in that cold weather!
I really didn't like it, and it could of been because it was really cold that day, but I found the answers to be a little to hard to figure out, I was hoping for it to be a little quicker for the answer. But the good thing is, that you do get to see things in the city. So I basically just used it to see the sites!
Sorry that you did not enjoy the experience because of the weather. We understand that as an outdoor adventure, the weather does come into play at times. We hope you will give it a try in another city when the weather is better.
