Aurora Hunt com Churrasco em Rovaniemi

We had fun, but we didn't see the northern lights because it was to cloudy. We drove 10 min from Rovaniemi so thats probably not far enough. Better book a tour that will drive you near Sweden if you want to be sure to see the Northern lights!

Amazing tour, really unforgettable experience. The guides was very kind and passionated, you can feel they really love what thet do. He explain a lot about the aurora and the sky and also about Finland life. We drive far from city, so no light pollution, we have seen aurora, but very little of it, but yes we understand that this is natural phenomenon and nobody can nothing to do. Also the campfire part was nice, warm fire in teepee, sausages and hot drink, very friendly atmosphere with local music. We visited 3 different places, totally it was about 3 hours The guide was always checking if everyone is ok and comfortable, not rushing, very calm and professional, answering any of our quastions I really recommend this tour if you want real experience, not tourist trap. The Northern Lights tour was great. We were picked up by a small bus at our Airbnb and drove first to a public lake, here only a few Northern Lights were visible. Then we went on to a private meeting place by the lake. Here there were two fireplaces where we could warm up, warm tea and sausages that we could grill over the fire ourselves with skewers, plus a kind of small flatbread. The group was manageable with about 20 participants, 3 minibuses. The private location in the snowy forest by the fire was very nice and we still saw plenty of Northern Lights! I can absolutely recommend this tour for € 89 per person.

Very good experience. We could see the Northern Lights in several places, yet it was not visible everywhere but our guide knew how to take us to beautiful spots, we even stopped on the road quickly when there was a passing dawn. Thank you!

Great experience, great organisation. They are trustable person, not the classic that wants only money, they tell you if there is the chance to see the Aurora, and in case is a bad day they cancel the reservation or reschedule it. Other companies just tried to get our money even if the sky was really cloudy. Everyone in the staff was really friendly and prepared. On top they photographed us and gifted the photo. Other companies ask for 100+€ per photo. Also the dinner with the camp fire was good.

Beautiful experience, perfectly organized tour! We were able to see the aurora at the first stop (10 minutes after departure). Besides, the guys took some great pictures of us!

I booked online the Aurora hunt with BBQ with To the North agency and I was supposed to be picked up at 7:50 PM. Nobody showed up. At 8:03 PM I texted someone from the agency. I also called them. No answer. Then they messaged me saying I had already been picked up. Really?! I was freezing waiting for them since 7:35 PM in front of a hotel and the guy tells me first that I have already been picked up and then that it seems that “somebody has sat on my place”. WTF?! Then they checked it and they said that an Asian lady who didn’t speak English said my name in order to be picked up. My name?! My name is a Catalan name. I explained it to some Asian friends and they are still laughing. I begged them to be picked up because it was my last opportunity to see the Northern lights and their answer was: “All cars already left, somebody took your place”. No apologies. No solutions. Nothing. 1- Nobody was picked up at 7:50 PM at the place I was supposed to be picked up and was written in my email. I was there and no Asian ladies with Catalan names were there. The truth is that there was a customer waiting for a van at Arctic light hotel and nobody showed up. 2- If there has been a misunderstanding or it’s your mistake, call the client immediately, apologize and give an explanation. 3- If the client calls you several times, answer the phone. 4- Maybe your hikes are not located in Sunset Boulevard but bloody hell, you really think you are a cheap Hollywood screenwriter with your ridiculous stories about Asian ladies who impersonate customers. I ended up booking last minute with Nordic agency. They are absolutely great and they made sure I left the country having seen the Northern lights. This is how you run a business, not saying things like: “One asian lady said that she Montse, she dont speak english”. So ridiculous. I chose the option “pay on arrival” so probably they gave my place to another person who called last minute and paid immediately online and they “forgot” my booking, otherwise they would have picked me up because the vans were not that far when everything happened and it wasn’t my mistake. Vamos, que pasaron absolutamente de todo porque les dio la real y absoluta gana demostrando lo poco profesionales que son. Si os queréis asegurar de hacer la excursión, reservad en otra agencia.

Alex and Elyas were amazing, they took us to the place with the clearest sky, we had a great aurora show and they were there to give context and stories about aurora!

Great experience ,staff and BBQ! Have different languages and we moved to 2 place to see aurora. They provided oweralls for all The sizes and very comfortable shoes.

We saw the northern lights from the 15 minutes we were on the tour!!! And they took us to three different spots, everything was great!! From Mexico
