Anos atrás, no tempo dos reis ruandeses, houve um príncipe que decidiu decorar sua casa moldando formas geométricas na parede de sua cabana usando esterco de vaca. Com o tempo, essa técnica foi desenvolvida em uma forma popular de arte tradicional de Ruanda chamada "Imigongo". Durante sua oficina, você aprenderá a história da Arte Imigongo em Ruanda. Você então pintará seu próprio Imigongo (Arte de esterco de vaca) para levar consigo.

Great fun! A very special type of art. The studio was cosy and our guides friendly and attentive. Even as someone with not much artisitc skill, I managed to design a painting I very much enjoyed.

My husband, my friend, and I recently visited Azizi to paint Imigongo with Theoneste. Theoneste was a fantastic host, sharing the history of Imigongo in a fun, engaging way, telling stories, joking, and laughing with us. We really enjoyed our time there and highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Kigali!

This was an enjoyable date night with my husband. Before we started painting the instructor gave us a brief history lesson on how they started using cow dung. She was the perfect host. We were allowed to bring our own wine and played music 🎶. I definitely recommend if your in Kigali.
