Betty, her sister and her husband were amazing hosts! She was so excited from the very beginning, showing us lots of pictures and information on what we were going to cook and telling us all about herself and her passion for cooking. We really felt like we were family being welcomed into her home. This was even more special because her sister was visiting, and we were able to experience their sisterly love and shared love for cooking! They are both incredibly charming and funny, making for some very fun banter in the kitchen as we learned their preferences for finely minced pico de gallo, heard stories about how their mom, aunts and grandmothers used to cook and what it was like growing up in both Mexico and the United States. They also have a love for travel that was great to chat about, and Betty's husband, Charles, joined us for our lunch and shared his life experiences, advice for the younger generation and passion for the sustainable home and bnb that he built with the help of his family and friends. I've never had pico de gallo that I enjoyed so much! The home made tortillas are a labor of love and were quite the enjoyable challenge. The fresh cheeses, jamaica juice, chicken enchiladas, and Betty's delicious refried beans really topped off a memorable day. It was then followed by the best flan we have ever had! Also, Betty was very conscious of our safety and ensured we did not touch any hot objects, etc. Not to mention, Betty did all of this while navigating an injured leg, never really letting on that she was in pain, although I am sure she was. We are wishing Betty a peaceful recovery and look forward to meeting her again! Don't hesitate to book with her, she is truly an amazing lady, and we learned so much about Mexican cooking.

This is so much more than a cooking class. It is an afternoon to be savored - we left with full bellies and full hearts. I highly recommend this experience - Betty is a delightful teacher, her property is beautiful, and her husband Charles lovingly shared how he hand built and cares for the hacienda. We had a great time; thank you for sharing your hospitality, home, and excellent cooking tips with us.

Betty is such a phenomenal teacher and has intertwined history with her lessons. We learned how to do tortillas, enchiladas, Jamaica , pico de gallo. She gave us a tour of her fresh herb gardens, fruit trees, chickens and home. We are planning to come back and do more lessons! My husband and I booked this class months before our vacation. We talked about how excited we’re to go to Baja and to have a cooking class. We were completely enchanted by Betty, her knowledge, her skills, her hospitality, and her location. We enjoyed every part of this experience and will book again for our next trip. We learned so much, and I for one enjoyed the hands on experience. My husband has continued to tell everyone this was the highlight of our trip. Betty, you have a life long fan with us! Betty was so personable and friendly. We enjoyed the whole experience; from making enchiladas from scratch to learning about where each vegetable was originated. It is a filling meal so pace yourself when indulging through the experience. Love walking through the vegetable garden and I am now inspired to grow leeks, artichoke and a lemon tree. The colors and experience is exceptional. Charles, her husband was so friendly as well. They have a vision and to see that become a realty is eye opening.

Where do I begin, This was an amazing experience and great time. My family of 6 absolutely loved this cooking class and the tour of the domes and gardens. This class was very interactive all hands on and there is something for everyone to do. Betty is very knowledgeable, detailed, and clean. We made chicken enchiladas Sinaloa style. She gives you all the insight about about the origins of the meal and the ingredients you use. Betty and her husband are wonderful people. The food was delicious, and the experience made us feel like we were a part of their family. I would 100% recommend this class! I believe it was the best part of out trip!!!

Wonderful experience with Chef Betty! Not only Interactive, hands on but very informative as well with an abundance of History and traditions shared. Beautiful, unique venue. Highly recommend!

Wonderful! Fun! An experience not too be forgotten. The actual learning of making an authentic meal was only shadowed by the sharing of the experience with Betty and her hospitality. By the end the preparation of the meal we felt like friends, by the end of our meal, we were old friends making a memory.
