Satoko was an awesome host and a fantastic teacher. This was a great family activity that taught us a lot about the history of these delicious desserts. We also got to explore a cute neighborhood on the way to our class that we wouldn’t have otherwise seen.

I was specifically interested in learning how to make and work with nerikiri. Satoko san put together a wonderful experience for me. The seasonal designs she chose for the class exceeded my expectation and the resulting pieces were amazing. Awesome sensei, awesome experience. Thank you, Satoko san!
Thank you so much for your kind review! I’m very happy to hear that you enjoyed learning how to make nerikiri, and that the seasonal designs exceeded your expectations. It was truly a pleasure to share this experience with you. Since you visit Japan often, next time let’s make wagashi with designs from a different season! I would love to welcome you again. Such an incredible experience! Our instructor Satoko was so knowledgeable, accommodating, and kind, and made sure we had great time! The 1 hr 30 mins class went by very quick, and she made us feel so at home. Highly recommend!!
Thank you so much for your kind review! Though it was your first time, you both made such beautiful Nerikiri. You did a wonderful job! I was also very happy to see you enjoy everything until the very last bite together with the matcha you made yourselves. Thank you for sharing such a lovely time with me, and I hope to see you again in another Wagashi class someday!
What a great activity! My husband and I loved our dessert making class with Satoko. She's very patient, kind, and knowledgeable. She began with a historic overview of the desserts and their connection to Japanese culture. Each step was explained, and this would also be a perfect experience for beginners! Everything we made turned out so cute and delicious! Even gave us little to-go containers, handmade origami cranes, and cute little souvenirs. Thoroughly enjoyed and would highly recommend for visitors to this lovely country!
Thank you so much for your lovely review! I’m truly happy to hear that you and your husband enjoyed the class and the time we spent together. It means a lot to me that you appreciated the hands-on experience and the little details. Thank you again for the warm recommendation, and I hope we can meet again in another Wagashi lesson someday!
Satoko's lesson was very well organised and professional. For example, I was impressed with the small additional details like folded origami bird with our names written on it, or the additional gifts. The lesson was well paced, we had time to take photos (with the decorations provided), and managed to meet her cats too. Satoko has a very sweet personality and is passionate about her job by the way she puts her efforts. Thank you Satoko!
Thank you so much for your kind review! I’m really glad you enjoyed the small details and had fun taking photos — and meeting my cats too. It was a pleasure having you in the lesson, and I’m happy you felt the care I put into it. Thank you again for joining, and I hope to see you back in Tokyo someday!
Very soulful and very interesting! Adults and children will love it! I highly recommend it!!! The tea was also very tasty! When I return to Japan, I will gladly come here again!
Thank you so much for your wonderful review! It was such a joy to welcome your lovely family, and I’m so happy to hear that both children and adults enjoyed the experience as well. I’m also glad you liked the tea! Please come visit again when you return to Japan. I would love to see you all.
