We were picked up promptly to our hotel by the friendly and helpful Keith. The vehicle was very recent and clean. During the first part of the day we visited Auckland city and its many bays and beaches, as well as its chic suburbs. We visited the beautiful plant greenhouses and the War Memorial. A ride back and forth across the Auckland Harbour Bridge could not be missed. After the nice lunch near the Blue Montains we got to see more nature. Our friendly guide took us to places where we could admire plants and trees up close. Afterwards we drove to cliffs where we stood among hundreds of birds (gannets). It was a beautiful day with lots of instructive explanations. The combination of driving and walking was perfectly balanced (we are both 60+). Our guide also provided many photo stops. Definitely recommended for a first introduction to Auckland and surroundings.
Thankyou very much. Glad to be of service and my pleasure to please. Keith.
If you have limited time and want to see Auckland highlights in one day, this is the tour to take!!!
Thankyou. It was my pleasure to please. Keith.
Traveled through beautiful country sides and stopped at various stunning lookouts. Had an outstanding lunch at The Olive Restaurant. We even got to participate in an unplanned protest parade about New Zealand fishing rights. Visited beaches, beautiful gardens, and scenic views from all around Auckland. Keith, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable about everything we saw and went out of his way to make our experience memorable.
Thankyou. My pleasure to please.
It is a full day and quite a bit of time in the van but you get a great tour of the city and it’s highlights.
Thankyou. It was my pleasure to please. Regards Keith.
We enjoyed our day exploring Auckland and our driver Keith, the owner, was great. He made sure we saw all the sites and even snuck in a winery at our request for a quick tasting. We really enjoyed our included lunch at the Olive and seeing the two beaches, one of which was black sand. My other favorite stop was the conservatory to see the beautiful flowers and fernery.
Thankyou, it was my pleasure. Regards Keith.
Keith was a very informative driver. Great lunch stop. We had time for a quick stop to do a Wine Tasting. Really nice day.
Thankyou for your kind words. It was my pleasure. Regards Keith.
Keith is a very experienced tour guide. He doesn’t just show you the area of interest he also knows the history and tells the story. It was fun to go see the gardens and the ferns. I think we covered every square inch of Auckland and enjoyed every minute, especially the lunch in a restaurant he found just short of the washed out road after the cyclone. Great guide!
Thank you Richard it was my pleasure of course.
Unfortunately due to the damage caused by Cyclone Gabrielle the access to Muriwai beach was closed, our guide Keith had a different itinerary planned for us which included a comprehensive tour through Auckland and a drive to Waimauku to visit wineries. We had a lovely lunch at the Hunting Lunch. Keith was wonderful and he definitely made up for the detour and the bad weather we had. I recommend Keith and this tour 100%. Another benefit of having a private tour is the flexibility.
Thank you Monica for your understanding and comments. Of course it was my pleasure, just bad timing with the weather. Regards Keith.
