We made a huge mistake and booked the wrong day however they graciously still accommodated us! The cenote with a fun jump and lots of bats was one of the best we’ve seen in Mexico. Everyone at the beach club was welcoming the fajitas were delicious and they kept the drinks flowing during the 1-hour. On the snorkeling trip just offshore we saw a nurse shark and beautiful bat fish. Highly recommend this activity.
The experience overall was AWESOME! Great snorkeling first thing in the morning - small boat but we are not bothered by that. They even navigated to a second reed because the first was overcrowded with out tours… the area they took us to was practically empty but had great reef structures, tons of fish and even some we had never seem before. Not terribly long time was spent snorkeling (30-45mins), but since water was so chilly it was enough! Returned to the resort to wait for the ATV portion and while it’s not a huge beach club, it was nice to walk around and watch the waves from the swings that overlook the ocean. There is a slow, chill vibe and if you are impatient, this part may frustrate you. We just took the time to soak it all in. They transported us via Jeep to the ATV area… unfortunately no rain so the trails were dusty tather than muddy, but they cannot control that! It was a super fun ride through the town and down the trails to the Cenote. The cenote was was peaceful and little kotamundi were friendly. Return ride was equally enjoyable, but I was glad I thought to pack a bandana for the dust! Tried a sampling of tequila , and some chocolate, then headed back to the beach club for lunch. We had chicken and steak fajitas, and for us it was plenty to eat (if you have a bug appetite you may still be hungry), but the beer was cold, the food was good and it was nice to enjoy the waves crashing. Overall GREAT experience! Would do again.
My family of 8 booked this while on a cruise to cozumel and had an amazing time! From the cruise ships you have to take a taxi to it. We arrived at tortugas and had some down time so we grabbed a beer. Our tour guide was Francisco and he was so fun. We hopped in a car and he drove us to a location about 5 to 10 mins away to get the ATVs. We followed him and he took us on all kinds of trails that had mud puddles so we did get dirty. But they have showers at the tortugas place. He took us to this cavern that had a cliff that we stopped at. We were able to jump off of it and into the water. Then we loaded up and headed back. Once back at tortugas, we got lunch. A free fajita was included in this deal and also a 1 hour open bar. The kids were able to play in the water and snorkel. We enjoyed our day so much and would do it again!
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience! We’re thrilled to hear your family of 8 had such an amazing day with us in Cozumel. Francisco will be especially happy to know you enjoyed his energy and the ATV adventure—those muddy trails and off-road paths are definitely part of the fun! We’re glad you enjoyed the cavern stop, the cliff jump, and being able to rinse off and relax back at Tortugas afterward. It’s wonderful to hear that lunch, the fajitas, and time at the beach made it a great experience for both adults and kids, especially with snorkeling and play time in the water. Thank you for choosing us during your cruise stop, and we would love to welcome you and your family back again on your next visit to Cozumel! 🌴😊
This is not a little nice guided tour well it's whatever you want it to be ours was kick ass crazy mud swinging adrenaline pumping fun
Guides were great! Food was great! Excursion was very fun! We never felt rushed and made it back to the cruise ship in well enough time.
Thank you so much for your kind words! We're thrilled to hear you had a fun and relaxed experience, enjoyed the food, and felt well taken care of by our guides. Making sure our guests return to their cruise ship with plenty of time to spare is always a priority, so we’re glad that worked out smoothly for you. We hope to welcome you back on your next visit to Cozumel!
Do not shop in Cozumel - maybe at the areas in the shopping centres or a place promoted by your cruise ship but be very wary. As below, we were approached by a guy who said he knew us from the ship and to come into his family store. I bought a necklace that I was charged for and then was charged another $614 CAD for nothing. TD band says there is nothing they can do because I was in the store and authorized the purchase. On my credit card, the store is called Merpago Monzanita or Merpago Maya. It was close to the main area of the main street about three stores up an alley. Very clean and white with air conditioning. I am sorry for all the legit vendors out there but I will never buy on credit card again while in port.
Thank you for your feedback, and I’m truly sorry to hear that your experience fell short of expectations. We genuinely appreciate you taking the time to share your experience and hope to have the opportunity to make it right.
The marketing is misleading - stated 4 hrs - we had the snorkel/atv tour - the snorkeling was first (9am), lasted ~35 minutes. Back to dock and snorkel guide stated ATV would begin at 10:30 am - It was actually 11am. The ATV team were having issues with their vehicles to transport over to the ATV so late heading out - once we arrived at ATV site, the ride was hardly what we expected. This is NOT a jungle tour - it was a dusty dirt road with many pot holes. The Cinote was cool; however, it was a bat haven - bat feces around, smelled awful and guides warned do not get into the water (but yes, we did see three ladies in the water - I imagine they were very ill the next day). Total time - nearly 3 hours - if you want snorkelng take a "snorkel only" tour - forget the ATV - not a jungle.
Would highly suggest the snorkeling but avoid the ATV ride. We just returned from a quick 4 night stay in Cozumel. We chose this excursion based on reviews so I thought I would come give a review to help others. We booked or tour for 11 AM. We thought we were going ATVing first and snorkeling second but when we arrived the man who greeted us said that we would be snorkeling first, which was fine but we were told to go lounge on the beach and that someone would get us when it was time. This did not happen. At about 11 we went seeking out our tour and no one seemed to know what was going on. After a few minutes someone finally came and directed us to our boat. Once we got going on the boat all was great our guides were wonderful and we had a lot of fun. Would highly recommend them for snorkeling. Things upon our return were once again disorganized. Lunch was included in our package and we inquired if we eat first or go on the ATVs. They told us that the ATVs would only take an hour and we decided to wait to eat when we returned. What a mistake. First, you do not leave from Tortugus on ATVs, they take you to a secondary location about 15/20 mins away. Due to our party size, 5 in our group and 2 other people in a second group, they needed to take us in separate vehicles. Oh and they had my husband drive one of these vehicles. Once we got to the secondary property and on ATVs we had a good time. That is until after the ride and it was time to go back to the beach club. We are now an hour and 20 minutes into our “one hour” ride and we are starving. But instead of taking us back our guide took us next door to sit through a tequila tasting. When we asked about going back he said we would after a brief presentation. Mind you this presentation was NOT part of the excursion we booked. This presentation was a high pressure sales pitch that we found out after the excursion is a huge scam. It was at this time that they finally drove us back to the beach club and we finally ate. 2 1/2 hours after we first left there. The meal included was fajitas and they were yummy. Overall the snorkeling was great and if I were in the area again I would recommend them for this activity. I would not recommend them for ATVing. There are other companies that seemed more professional on the trail and I’d look into one of them. I may have felt differently if it weren’t for the sales pitch, that really left a sour taste in our mouth and we felt like we had to choice as were were miles away from Where we started. I hope this helps someone.
This was one of the best excursions we have ever done. We started off with snorkeling which was a blast and they were super helpful as we had a first time person (8 y/o) snorkeling. Then, we went with our amazing tour guide, Alexander (Alex), to start the ATV portion of the excursion. Alex was so friendly and spoke to us about the culture of Cozumel which we enjoyed. We went to the Cenote and all jumped in and he was able to capture some amazing videos for us. Then, we did a tequila tasting and Alex even offered to stay a bit longer there so we could do the chocolate tasting as well. Then, we went back to the beach club and enjoyed lunch and drinks. Definitely book this if you are in Cozumel and request Alex as he will make sure you are comfortable and have a great time.
David was wonderful! He showed us around, was super friendly, patient, overall, the experience was amazing. The food at the bar afterwards was amazing, especially the octopus meal. The waiters at the bar were wonderful too. Highly recommend coming here.
