O Orgov Radio-Optical Telescope, também conhecido como ROT54 ou o Herouni Mirror Radio Telescope, é um radiotelescópio em Orgov, Armênia. Foi construído entre 1975 e 1985 e esteve ativo entre 1986 e 1990 antes de seu uso ser interrompido. Foi novamente operacional até cessar em 2012. Posteriormente, muitas tentativas foram feitas para restaurar e reiniciar o ROT54.
O Observatório Astrofísico Byurakan (BAO) foi fundado em 1946 por iniciativa do acadêmico Victor Ambartsumian, que se tornou o primeiro diretor do observatório. Está localizado na pitoresca pendente sul da montanha Aragats. No observatório estão instalados 12 instrumentos de observação, sendo os maiores o telescópio Cassegrain de 2,6 m e o telescópio Schmidt de 1 m. As pesquisas científicas do observatório estão relacionadas principalmente com os fenômenos de instabilidade que ocorrem no Universo.

We visited Byurakan Observatory and the Viktor Hambardzumyan Museum two days ago, and we absolutely loved the experience! It was something completely different from the usual tourist attractions in Armenia and one of the most interesting places we visited during our trip. The observatory itself has a special atmosphere. It was fascinating to learn about Armenian astronomy, the history of the observatory, and the incredible work of Viktor Hambardzumyan. The museum was especially interesting, with many stories and personal items that helped us understand his life and achievements. Our guide was very friendly, knowledgeable, and patient, and explained everything in a way that was easy to understand and enjoyable. We never felt bored, even though we are not experts in astronomy. We really enjoyed the peaceful surroundings, the beautiful views, and the opportunity to discover a different side of Armenia. If you are looking for something unusual, educational, and memorable, we definitely recommend visiting Byurakan Observatory and the Viktor Hambardzumyan Museum. A big thank you to everyone who made this visit so enjoyable! We would happily recommend it to other travelers.
