Para aqueles de vocês que gostam de explorar diferentes áreas em pequenas seções, e não ficar confinado a um veículo de safári por longos períodos, o Parque Nacional de Arusha definitivamente vale a pena reservar algum tempo. Aproveite esta aventura de dia inteiro com almoço e bebidas opcionais (por conta do visitante) que incluem caminhadas, passeios de bicicleta e um safári de canoa opcional.

Itinerário
O seu grupo com um mínimo de 2 pessoas pode se deliciar com uma retirada de manhã cedo do seu alojamento para estar às portas do Parque Nacional de Arusha por volta das 10h00. O caminho para o parque é curto; plantações de café e pequenas cidades com vida diária movimentada mantêm você entretido pelos 50 minutos que leva até você virar em uma estrada de cascalho e começar a subir em direção ao portão do parque. Aqui, um guarda-florestal armado se juntará antes de sair pelas planícies abertas para o seu safári matinal de caminhada nas sombras do Monte Meru. Subir a rota de subida do Mt Meru dá uma perspectiva interessante sobre a observação da vida selvagem com ótimas panorâmicas do parque abaixo. Quando voltar ao portão, dirija a curta distância até Momella Lakes para um piquenique (custo adicional de US $ 10). Aqui, você pode desfrutar de um safári de canoagem (opcional) no lago ou continuar com passeios pela tarde pelo parque em um ritmo descontraído. No final da tarde, saia do parque para voltar ao seu alojamento.
O Monte Meru é um vulcão adormecido localizado a 70 quilômetros a oeste do Monte Kilimanjaro, no país da Tanzânia. A uma altitude de 4.562,13 metros, é visível do Monte Kilimanjaro em um dia claro e é a quinta montanha mais alta da África, dependendo da definição.

This was our first of 6 safari locations spanning Arusha National Park, Tarangarire, Ngorngoro Crater, and Central Serengeti. A great introduction to Tanzania's warm culture and the beautiful animals. Our guide Julius was informative, interesting, fun, and made us feel safe the entire day. Although a little further away than we saw at the other parks, we did see giraffes, colobus monkeys, zebras, Cape Buffalo, and a hippo! Baboons were also plentiful and entertaining. Lunch overlooking the lake was very good and water through the day was plentiful.

<p>Took the tour the last day of my 1 week trip, flying out at 8:50pm, tour lasted 7:30am - 5pm, paid the tour company to drop me off at The airport at the end of the tour. Worked out perfectly. </p> <p>After a six day safari visiting Serengeti, ngorongoro, tarengeri and lake manyara, I was not expecting much. But it is beyond my expectations! The walking safari was the highlight. We were lucky to run into a family of 5 giraffes right at the start of the walking tour. It's amazing walking on soft grass grounds, 10 meters from giraffes, 50 meters from a few buffaloes, with another huge herd of buffaloes 100 meters away on the other side of a small creek, with mountain meru as the background There are also a lot of sighting of baby giraffes, in addition to flamingos lake, hippos lake, lot of monkeys. It's mostly a rain forest, very different look from the other parks. A great way to end my first safari! </p> <p>My guide was amazing. It's low season, I was the only guest in the car, just like a private tour. Highly recommended!</p>
