Itinerário
Construído para substituir um outro mercado, demolido em 1876, foi inaugurado em 1930. O interior foi integralmente remodelado após obras de requalificação das instalações realizadas entre 2010 e 2011.
O projeto de uma fortificação moderna para defesa deste trecho do litoral português remonta ao século XIV, com a construção do Forte de Santiago do Outão, destinado ao controle da entrada fluvial.
O Parque Natural da Arrábida é uma reserva biogenética situada na península de Setúbal, abrangendo os municípios de Palmela, Setúbal e Sesimbra, com a altitude mais elevada no Pico do Formosinho (501m de altitude), no distrito de Setúbal, em Portugal. Estende-se por 35 quilómetros.
Azeitão é formada pelas antigas freguesias de Azeitão (São Lourenço e São Simão), partilham o nome "de Azeitão", graças aos extensos olivais que, na época árabe, dominaram aquelas paragens.
O Castelo de Palmela localiza-se na vila, freguesia e município do mesmo nome, distrito de Setúbal, em Portugal. Do alto da sua torre de menagem, em dias claros a vista se descortina até Lisboa.

After several days of exploring on our own, this was a perfect way to see some new areas while giving our legs a rest. Our guide, Diogo, truly went above and beyond to make this a memorable day for us (including a wine/art tour and finding a handmade tile shop on our way!). He was a wealth of knowledge about the history of the area, and even tied in the history of the places we visited on the tour with the places we’d already seen to really understand how it all connected! Truly a wonderful day - our only regret was that we booked this near the end of our vacation and couldn’t have him take us on another excursion.

Had a fantastic time on this tour, my parents were super impressed with how knowledgeable our guide was with the area and all the sites were incredible. Would definitely recommend if you have limited time in Setubal to hit the main spots!

This is my second time booking the Arrábida: Setúbal tour with Outing Portugal. This was my cousin's first trip to Portugal, and Diogo planned a wonderful tour of Setúbal for us. Diogo Sampaio gave us the best tour of Setubal 10/10 would recommend to anyone who loves to learn the history of on area or have convenient door to door tours of an unfamiliar area. We will be back for another tour very soon!
