A Basílica de San Domenico está localizada na praça do mesmo nome em Arezzo e é um dos edifícios sagrados mais importantes da cidade. Sua construção começou em 1275 e foi concluída durante o século XIV, graças ao financiamento das famílias Ubertini e Tarlati, as duas famílias mais influentes durante a Idade Média em Arezzo. Em janeiro de 1276, embora ainda incompleta, a igreja sediou o que é considerado o primeiro conclave na história da Igreja Católica.
O Museu Casa Vasari é uma esplêndida residência renascentista localizada no coração de Arezzo. Foi comprado e decorado pessoalmente por Giorgio Vasari, um famoso pintor, arquiteto e historiador da arte, mais conhecido por sua obra fundamental “As vidas dos mais excelentes pintores, escultores e arquitetos”.
A Basílica de San Francesco em Arezzo, com sua fachada inacabada, abriga um extraordinário patrimônio artístico. Entre as obras mais famosas, destaca-se o ciclo de frescos The Story of the True Cross de Piero della Francesca, uma obra-prima universal que decora a Capela Bacci, encomendada pela rica família Arezzo que tomou seu nome.
A Piazza Grande, situada no centro histórico de Arezzo, é um lugar icônico e fascinante, conhecido por sua forma trapezoidal e plano inclinado. A praça remonta ao século XII, mas sofreu transformações significativas no século XVI.
O Pieve di Santa Maria Assunta é uma antiga igreja batismal urbana, cujas origens remontam a entre os séculos V e VI, talvez construída sobre os restos de um edifício pagão. Mais tarde, por volta do século IX, foi construída uma estrutura maior. No século XII, esta igreja medieval foi demolida para criar espaço para um novo edifício em estilo romano.
A Fortaleza Medici de Arezzo, situada no coração do Parque Prato, representa um dos mais importantes exemplos da arquitetura militar do Renascimento na Toscana. As origens da fortaleza remontam ao período medieval, quando a área já era utilizada como um ponto estratégico para o controle do território circundante.
Esta estrutura, construída entre o final do século I e a primeira metade do século II dC, reflete a influência romana na cidade, já herdeira da civilização etrusca. O anfiteatro foi projetado para sediar shows de gladiadores e jogos públicos com capacidade para até 10.000 espectadores. Vamos descobrir sua história!

Everything was fine; it was comprehensive.
We were very happy in the end with the tour even though we thought we would be meeting at a certain spot and get headsets. We were able to maneuver through the tour using our own telephone and Link that was provided. It was very nice to do this at our own pace
I strongly recommend to skip this company and find a better provider. Yesterday we used a different company for our day at Assisi and loved the experience. Today we decided to do an audio guide at Arezzo. Never again with this company. The narration was annoying with unnecessary background music. Ok. What really bothered us was: The webpage interface sucked. We could not scroll up to see the map or we would be kicked out, so that was a lot of wasted time. But the worst was that the guide sent you all over the place. Have a 2 minute summary of a place, most of them places you mérito pay to get in. No, I did not expect to be able to get in for free everywhere. But I think it was a waste of my time to walk all over the place just to see the outside of buildings. So I do not recommend this tour. There are better versions with better interface and better itineraries.
Hello, we’re sorry you didn’t like the guide. We find it a bit odd, actually, because… you also used our Assisi guide and you liked that one 😅! That one also had background music and the interface was exactly the same, so it’s really hard for us to respond to this review 🙂. I found myself very well, easy and intuitive to use, synthetic. I would buy it again if I had to do another day trip.
We learned & discovered so many fun historical facts by doing this walking tour. We also took the mini train, but we learned more walking on foot.
The audio tour was one of the highlights of our long weekend in Arezzo. Start at the Cathedral of Arezzo. Good explanation with a sense of humor. Good to listen to. The tour is like a puzzle tour, very fun to do. From birthplace, to beautiful square to fortified fortress, within 3 hours you are much wiser with beautiful background info. Matteo thanks
I think the guide included 7 key places around Arezzo but (with 4 kids in tow) it was really handy that we could dip in and out and pick and choose which ones to focus on and when. The information on each place was very informative but not too long and it was really useful to have the choice of listening and/or reading. We didn't manage to follow the route suggested but it looked really well thought out and logically planned. Considering how much information was included, and the useful map, I was impressed at the price and would definitely consider using this again.
Positive experience, the tour to Arezzo really interesting. The clear and exhaustive explanations. Tomorrow we will be in Siena and I plan to take the audlguida there too. Recommended
