Empoleirada no alto do English Harbour, a vista de Shirley Heights é simplesmente incrível. Se oferece uma vista deslumbrante dos iates ancorados no porto abaixo. Nomeado após o governador Thomas Shirley que fortificou o porto em 1781. Em um dia claro, as ilhas vizinhas podem ser vistas deste ponto de vista.
Nelsons Dockyard, em homenagem ao Almirante Horatio Nelson, um oficial da marinha britânica que viveu neste estaleiro da Marinha Real entre 1784 e 1787. We spent a half day riding around the island and through many villages. Riley was a great guide and proud of his country. His knowledge helped make it a wonderful tour. So many interesting sites and beautiful views at Devil’s Bridge, Nelson Dockyard and Shirley Heights.

We were surprised to be alone on board with our driver. We thought we would be sharing a van with other tourists. It was very pleasant to be able to chat with VELMA, who took the time to articulate for us French speakers.

I am at an all inclusive resort but also wanted an overview of Island. This tour was as advertised and fit the bill. I was pleasantly surprised to be only person on the tour. Driver/guide was pleasant and informative. Tour did include pick up and return to Jolly Beach Resort, where I was staying.

This was the perfect way to see some of the highlights of the Antigua! The tour included every stop I wanted to see, and Benjamin was the perfect guide. He answered every last question I had about Antiguan landmarks, history, and culture. He even stopped so we could try a local tamarind fruit straight off a tree! Overall, it was a great half-day tour, and I would recommend it to anyone looking to get off their resort for a bit and see more of the island.
