Great ride, not difficult, you won't be sorry.
What a great hike tour. 24 miles on a e assist bike is easy going. Our tour guide Sebastian was awesome and was very detailed on the area. We stop at the famous windmill town and also another working windmill that we got to see up close. What a great tour.
Scott, thank you. Twenty four miles sounds like a long day until you are on a pedal assist bike, which is the point of the Amsterdam E Bike Tour to the Windmills of Zaanse Schans. Sebastian knows that area in detail and he always works in a second working mill beyond the famous row. Mike's Bike Tours Amsterdam arranges that visit so you see a mill at work rather than from the outside. I will pass this on to him. / Ashton
Such a nice bike ride thru city and rural. Could not have asked for a nicer guide so knowledgeable and extremely kind. Would highly recommend. There were 4 of us over age 60 and we did this tour without any problem. The special tour of working windmill was my favorite part. Thank u for a great day
Thanks Rhonda. Four riders over sixty finishing the day without any trouble is the best argument for the Amsterdam E Bike Tour to the Windmills of Zaanse Schans that I could write myself. The visit to the working mill is arranged by Mike's Bike Tours Amsterdam, so our guests see one running rather than photograph it from the path. I will pass your thanks to your guide. Come and ride with us again. / Ashton
Our tour guide Mark was exceptional. He made sure that we all were having a great time and had wonderful pictures. He went above and beyond
Thanks for this. Mark treats the photo stops as part of the job, and on our Amsterdam E-Bike Tour to the Windmills of Zaanse Schans the backdrop does half the work for him. Going above and beyond is what we hire for at Mike's Bike Tours Amsterdam. I will pass this on to him. Ashton
Mark did a great job. Friendly, knowledgeable and very accommodating. An excellent day out and highly recommended.
Thanks for riding with us. Mark knows the Zaanse Schans route inside out, which is why our Amsterdam E-Bike Tour to the Windmills of Zaanse Schans never feels rushed. Standing inside a working mill and talking to the people who run it is the part visitors remember. Mike's Bike Tours Amsterdam would be glad to have you back. Ashton
The best bike tour I've done. Our guide David was incredible! So energetic and full of knowledge of Amsterdam. The bikes were also the best quality bikes we've ridden so far
Thanks Hayley. Best bike tour you have done is a big title and David will wear it well. Good bikes matter as much as good guides on the Amsterdam E Bike Tour to the Windmills of Zaanse Schans, which is why we spend money on the fleet rather than hoping nobody notices. Mike's Bike Tours Amsterdam would be glad to have you back. Ashton
An absolute blast! Enjoyed seeing the countryside and the windmills! Raffa was our guide and he was amazing!
Thanks Carolyn. Seventeen to seventy-one on one ride is exactly what the e-bikes are for, and I am fairly sure your guide was Rinse. An Amsterdam countryside bike tour handles a mixed-age group in a way almost nothing else does, because the bike takes the effort out and leaves the scenery. Glad Mike's Bike Tours Amsterdam was the favourite part. Ashton
My partner and I do a bike tour in every city we travel too. We wanted to see the windmills and wanted to have fun getting there. This tour, and most especially our guide Mark, was phenomenal! The meetup bike rental spot was easy to find. Everyone on the Team was warm and welcoming. The ride was easy, even when the rain started (we were prepared but they had ponchos for us too). It was really cool to see the countryside and more rural parts of the area. Our guide Mark was a fantastic teacher sharing his knowledge about the region and even more special, about the area he grew up. The tour did not disappoint in any way!
Thanks for this. A bike tour in every city is our kind of travel rule. Mark grew up in this region and that local knowledge is what turns a ride to the windmills into something you remember. Glad the rain did not slow you down, the ponchos earn their keep in Dutch weather. I will make sure Mark and the team see this. Ashton
Our Amsterdam to Zaanse Schans E-Bike Tour with Mark was absolutely terrific! As a local, Mark had a lot of interesting places and stories to share that we never would have known anbout otherwise. If you can, try to take this tour with Mark! You won’t be disappointed!
Thanks for the kind words. The windmills at Zaanse Schans are the destination but the ride out is where Mark shines, he has a story for every stretch of that route. I will pass this on to him. Hope you find us again next time you are in Amsterdam. Ashton
Mark was a great guide and was full of interesting facts and stories about the history and culture of the Netherlands. We had a great trip and enjoyed the day out biking with him!
Thanks so much for this, Lisa. We're delighted you enjoyed our Amsterdam E-Bike Tour to the Windmills of Zaanse Schans with Mike's Bike Tours Amsterdam and had such a great day exploring by bike. Mark will be very happy to read your kind words. He loves sharing the history, culture, and stories of the Netherlands while showing guests the beautiful countryside and iconic Dutch windmills along the way. Thank you for riding with us, and we hope to welcome you back for another Amsterdam bike tour or Dutch countryside adventure in the future. Ashton
