Comparado com os outros canais, o Prinsengracht é um canal relativamente modesto. Enquanto o Herengracht foi construído e projetado para a classe alta de Amsterdã, o Prinsengracht foi projetado como um canal de transição entre o rico cinturão de canais e os bairros da classe trabalhadora (Jordaan) que os cercavam. Isto também pode ser visto nas casas de Prinsengracht, que são muito mais “sóbrias” em comparação com os outros canais: menos largas e com menos decorações do que nos outros canais.
MAGERE BRUG ‘SKINNY BRIDGE’ é a ponte levadiça mais antiga ainda em funcionamento, parcialmente de madeira, em Amsterdã e um Monumento Nacional. A Ponte Magra foi construída no século XVII. Naquela época, a Câmara Municipal estava com um pouco de falta de dinheiro, então decidiram não construir uma ponte exorbitante, mas sim uma ponte barata (madeira em vez de pedra) e estreita ('magra'). A ponte era tão estreita que as pessoas mal conseguiam passar umas pelas outras, ou tinham que ser muito magras. A ponte atual data de 1934. O tráfego de automóveis não tem permissão para atravessá-la desde 2003. A Ponte Magra é a ponte mais famosa de Amsterdã e cenário de muitos filmes (incluindo James Bond).
O MUSEU HERMITAGE está localizado no Amstelhof. O edifício data de 1681 e foi originalmente um lar de idosos (durante 300 anos). Em 2007, a casa de repouso foi convertida em museu. Alguns quartos foram mantidos e restaurados. O museu Hermitage é um anexo do Hermitage em São Petersburgo, na Rússia, e compartilha uma parte de sua coleção de arte com o da Rússia. Juntos, os dois Hermitages possuem a maior coleção de arte do mundo.
BLAUWBRUG ‘BLUE BRIDGE’ deve o seu nome ao seu antecessor: uma ponte levadiça como a Skinny Bridge, mas com grades azuis. O atual Blauwbrug data de 1883 e foi inspirado na Pont Neuf de Paris. Por causa da Exposição Mundial de Amsterdã em 1883, era necessária uma nova ponte com aparência grandiosa. As coroas no topo da ponte são 'coroas imperiais' e são as mesmas coroas que estão em Westerkerk e nas armas da cidade. A coroa é a coroa do imperador do Sacro Império Romano, dada pelo imperador Maximiliano I em 1489 como agradecimento pelo apoio financeiro de Amsterdã. A coroa do imperador é a prova de que até o grande imperador recomendou Amsterdã e, portanto, muito importante para o comércio.

The itinerary displayed for this cruise did not match the actual cruise. Please don’t expect to see any historic sites or monuments as listed. It’s really just a simple version of a booze cruise. The itinerary mentioned passing by several sites like The Jordaan, Anne frank house, 7 bridges etc. it’s just a simple cruise. When I mentioned to the captain he said that the itinerary was old and hasn’t been updated.

Our route has been carefully designed to offer the best balance between Amsterdam's most beautiful canals, historic landmarks and a comfortable experience, while also taking into account busy waterways, temporary canal closures and instructions from the authorities. During the cruise, guests pass many of Amsterdam's well-known landmarks, including the Oude Kerk, Anne Frank House, NEMO Science Museum, the National Maritime Museum, the Rembrandt House Museum, the Magere Brug (Skinny Bridge), the Blauwbrug, City Hall, the Dancing Houses, the Munttoren, the famous Seven Bridges and many more. Depending on canal traffic, temporary closures, events and other operational circumstances, the exact route may vary from one departure to another. Amsterdam is a city with more than 750 years of history and hundreds of monuments, bridges and historic buildings. It simply isn't possible to include every famous landmark during a one-hour cruise. In fact, even a full-day cruise would only cover a small part of everything the city has to offer. We appreciate your comment regarding the itinerary and will review the wording to make it even clearer that routes may vary due to canal traffic, temporary closures, events and instructions from the authorities. Great experience! The food and drinks were good and there was plenty of them. Onno was a great and humorous tour guide and we learned so much in such short time. Would do again!

Me and my husband had an amazing morning on this hour long cruise captained by the lovely Onno. The brunch and drinks provided were perfect and enjoyed by both of us. Although we didn’t book a private cruise we were the only ones on the boat that morning but I am sure it would have been equally enjoyable with others. Onno was a fantastic host / captain and kept us laughing the entire time as well as giving us a well informed tour of the local area. The cruise, with a plentiful brunch, was well worth the price and was a lovely way to start a day in the city or to celebrate any special occasion. We would highly recommend this to anyone who wants a special but relaxed and casual morning in Amsterdam. Thank you Onno, we hope to see you again in the future!

What a lovely introduction to Amsterdam! We arrived (from the US) at 8:00 AM and wanted something to do before our hotel room was ready. After dropping off our bags, we went straight to brunch on this canal boat! Wonderful food, presented beautifully - fruit, sandwiches, pastries, and other delights, with a big selection of drinks (alcoholic and non). As we enjoyed the food, our captain took us on an informative, fun, and completely enjoyable ride through some of the main canals of the city. We loved every minute!! We would HIGHLY recommend this experience to all visitors to Amsterdam!

We absolutely loved this tour! We lucked out it just being six of us, so we got a private tour. Luuk, our boat driver and guide was great, pointing out different facts about the neighborhoods we roamed through and answering all our questions. He even kindly provided some restaurant and cafe recommendations at the end. Would recommend!
This was the first boat tour that I took while and Amsterdam. It said the bar pretty high. First of all, it was a small group. I was a solo traveler and was joined two other people from France. Second of all, the boat operator/tour guide was incredible in that he was able to tell us about the city in-depth personally. Other boat tours I’ve been on, you just have to put on headphones or they speak to you over a speaker. On this tour, you could hear him without him using a microphone. There was food and mimosas that were included and also pretty good/abundant. The only thing though is that when I took a different tour later on in the evening, it was a little bit of a letdown as I was expecting something like this. To be honest, I’ve taken multiple boat tours in different cities, and none of them have come close to this one. If you do want to take a boat tour, would highly recommend this one over other ones.
