We loved this activity, our favourite thing we did in NYC. Check out / return process very simple and the place was easy to find. We are not planners so booked in the morning for the same afternoon, great price and very close to Central Park. Thank you!

Right, where do I even start with this legend… DAN. Aye, I’m saying it again DAN! Remember the name, because if you’re lucky enough to get him as your guide, you’ve basically won New York. We booked a 2-hour Central Park bike tour and ended up getting a full-on performance, history lesson, comedy show and music gig rolled into one, all thanks to DAN. First off, his knowledge of New York is absolutely spot on. The man knows his stuff inside out, but never makes it feel like a boring school trip. It’s all stories, laughs, and proper good craic the whole way round. Now here’s where DAN really steps up… the man just casually stops to sing with street performers like it’s nothing. Honestly, we ended up having a wee singalong to a bit of Journey and Van Halen, and you could tell the other performers LOVE him. Everywhere we went it was “Alright Dan!” the guy’s basically Central Park royalty. We were a group of 15 and DAN made sure every single one of us was included. Took brilliant videos of us cycling, cracking group photos, even showed us a few camera tricks so we didn’t look like total tourists (well… slightly less anyway). The pace was perfect, not too rushed, not too slow just right for taking everything in without feeling knackered, its an easy ride. We saw everything we needed to see and had a laugh doing it. And honestly… the highlight? Watching DAN play guitar and belt out a few Beatles classics at Strawberry Fields with one of the singers there. I’m not even joking when I say DAN is better than half the stuff you’ll pay a fortune to see on Broadway, and this was part of a bike tour! Absolute credit to Unlimited Biking, DAN is a fantastic asset for your organisation. So if you’re thinking about booking, do it. And if you get DAN… you’ve struck gold. Cheers from Scotland

Test out bike before you leave - my gears did not work. Did not realize it until we were miles away from the building.

The bikes were not properly maintained and were very dirty. My bike in particular would not shift any lower than 4th gear, which made the rolling hills of Central Park quite challenging. The chain came off of my daughter’s bike and we also had to fix that. I let the employees know about my bike when I returned it 2 hrs early. I was hoping for a refund of some sort.

Check in was simple and fairly quick, albeit a bit crowed. One bike had severe gear shifting issues and upon return it seemed like they flagged it for repair. Otherwise the two bikes worked fine. The check-in process was problematic as one employee was both checking-in and checking-out both lines, with a dozen people in each. He did his best, but he was overwhelmed by customers, some who became impatient.

It wasn't obvious that it had to be booked using GoCity app and we found it difficult to do so, hence the 4 stars. It was fully booked when we got there so booked for later. Glad we did as the afternoon was perfect, as was our guide Dan. He made it a memorable afternoon, was full of information, very humorous and took the time to know us and make everyone on the tour feel special. As this was our last day in NYC, it really rounded off our trip. Thank you, from the 'Cambridge Four'!

Shocking company! The bikes we were given for our 2 hour ride around Central Park were appalling quality - brakes didn’t work and my daughter’s chain came off after 15 minutes. We then had to push our bikes back to their rental place and we were then told we would not be offered a refund despite the fact that they immediately admitted her bike needed to go for repair. Since returning home to UK I have got my credit card company onto getting my money back for me but the company continued to argue that we do not deserve a refund! I wish we had never used this company - they are nothing short of appalling. Do not touch them!

My husband's bike wasn't going well. They gave him a bike for women and he asked for one for men. It didn't go to the one who gave us the bikes and he had a bike that didn't fit and my husband couldn't adjust the saddle that was too high ... So difficult to pedal! I had to ask for an anti-theft device so we could stop and put the bikes down in peace. Same for the helmet he didn't give me. I made an observation when I asked for another helmet because mine was dirty and sticky with less foam. He told me it was like that!

Bad experience. Terrible, I'd say. 2 bikes rented for 3 hours to take a ride in Central Park and after a while both broken chains. I managed to get one of them all dirty, but both my son and I still had to walk back because there were two of us. We reported the matter to the staff (witness of the broken bike) who wrote us on the back of the receipt the contact details to make the claim and get the refund. The next morning the writing was gone (take a picture if you happen to, because pink ink is really weird). However, I contacted Customer Service both via Viator and through their website and not only did I not get a refund, but after 3 days not even a reply or an apology. Take a city bike next time. Assisted pedaling, you store it everywhere and it doesn't break.

The bikes are of good quality and quite well maintained (mine would need a derailleur adjustment). Nothing else to add but Triadvisor imposes a minimum of 100 characters
