De manhã, sua Guia de turismo profissional de língua Inglês e motorista com um veículo com ar condicionado irá pegar você. Você pode escolher o serviço de entrega no lobby do seu hotel, ou optar por nos encontrar em nosso ponto de encontro designado. Vamos primeiro para a Grande Muralha de Mutianyu, a 1,5 horas de carro. Mutianyu é uma seção mais tranquila e remota da Grande Muralha em torno de Pequim com muito menos multidões. Este segmento é famoso por suas paisagens naturais deslumbrantes: florestas exuberantes e pastagens verdes que mudam de cor com cada estação. As serpentes da parede percorrem mais de 1.000 metros ao longo das montanhas, antes de fazer uma curva afiada e descer abruptamente pela colina. Você terá aproximadamente duas horas de tempo livre para explorar a Grande Muralha. A escalada leva cerca de 30 minutos a pé. Alternativamente, você pode pegar o elevador de cadeira; um deslizamento emocionante na montanha também está disponível no seu caminho de volta.
Depois de um delicioso almoço em um restaurante local, prosseguiremos para o Summer Palace, que fica a pouco mais de uma hora de carro da Grande Muralha de Mutianyu. O Palácio de Verão serviu como um jardim real imperial nos tempos antigos. We had a fantastic day with our guide Sally, who took us to visit the Great Wall with a fun cable car ride and toboggan descent, as well as the beautiful Summer Palace. She also chose an excellent restaurant and carefully organized everything in advance. Sally was friendly, helpful, and very interesting to talk to. We really enjoyed our time with her and highly recommend her as a guide.

Pick-up was timely and with a comfortable car. 1,5-2hrs travel by from Beijing. The temperature and the crowd in an August visit makes the walking tour (expect some steep ascending sections of the walk) a little bit more of a challenge. But unforgettable scenery worth the effort - and feeds a sense of direct contact with a pluri-millennial culture. Our guide - Bruce - was excellent. Very knowledgeable on the history of China and of the Great Wall, and effective in his explanations. We greatly appreciated his dedication and professionalism. The “Jade Factory visit” revealed to be more a jewelry shopping experience. Fine but extremely expensive products. Buffet lunch at the “factory” just Ok.

We had a fabulous day with Wendy. We first went to the Great Wall of China where Wendy gave a great overview of the history. We took the chairlift up and explored the wall. Once we were down we had a lovely tea ceremony. After Wendy took us to Summer Palace which was beautiful and peaceful especially on the boat. Overall we had an amazing day with Wendy.

Wendy was a great tour guide. Went to both Great Wall and summer palace definitely worth doing both. Was basically a private tour when we went to the summer palace since majority of people just did Great Wall, meaning we could go at our own pace and she could show us great spots personalised for us.

It was an amazing experience visiting the Great Wall, especially riding the chairlift up and coming down on the toboggan it was definitely the highlight of the trip.
