Smelly Smelly Smelly! The whole island smelled like the worst State Park porta potty ever. Not worth what they charge. I woke up with a sinus infection this morning! Disgusting!!

Over priced tickets I paid $190 for 2 tickets if you pay at the location it’s $45 each tickets Do not use this website for tickets

For me, the prison tour is a step back in time; the audio tour was excellent. A bit too crowded, though I went on a Saturday, but very well organized.

Immersive, a must-do for fans of the movie with Clint, however the cafeteria is closed for renovations Plan for 2 hours, and warm clothing (the cold wind blows on the rock)

Be prepared to walk. Allow at least 3 hours and maybe 4 to see everything. The ferry ride there and back was also spectacular with views of the sf skyline and the Bay. We could see all the way to Sausalito.

Great to see Alcatraz. Staff were friendly, fast and efficient lines. Island and tour was great and informative. Boat ride was fast and great scenery.

The audio tour was very well done. Informative and easy to follow instructions. Even with crowds the process flowed well. We were just a little disappointed that the cafeteria was not available to view. But the upkeep and maintenance we know is extensive and continual.

Ferry ride over was very nice. Audio tour at the top of the island was informative and interesting. Warning it is a steep climb up. I liked that they offered a tram service (free) up to the top and down for people that need assistance.

The interior audio tour of Alcatraz was interesting, informative, and sobering. The cells are incredibly small, sparsely furnished, and undeniably uncomfortable. Solitary confinement cells are nightmarish.
