Degustação de Vinhos de Albufeira: Tour Boutique Winery & Silves Histórico

Had a great time, super trip our driver Filipe was very knowlegeable and really made the tour, there was 6 of us and we all got on really well, Filipe picked us up from our hotel was on time no waiting around, the wine tasting was good, and to be honest if you wanted to buy any of the wines they were very reasonable priced too, whilst tasting the wines you were given nibbles which were local produce which was ideal

The pick-up was on time and communication beforehand was excellent. Our guide, Carlos, was energetic, knowledgeable and genuinely interesting, making the whole experience enjoyable from start to finish. The tour around the vineyard was fascinating, particularly learning about the wine-making process and how the grapes are transformed into the finished product. The wine tasting itself was enjoyable, with some lovely wines to sample. The stop in Silves was a great addition. It’s an interesting Portuguese town with plenty of character, and we enjoyed exploring the castle and visiting the unusual Chapel of Bones. My only criticism would be that three 25ml glasses felt a little limited for the price paid. I would have preferred either a larger tasting pour or the opportunity to try a greater variety of wines. Overall, it was a really good experience, and I would happily recommend it.

Was a nicely paced tour. Filipe was very informative and bubbly. Also very helpful and considerate with my less mobile partner. The wines themselves were not completely to our liking but the variety provided definitely had you choosing favourites. Filipe was also very knowledgeable of the Algarve agricultural industry and history which is always a favourable extra. I've been on other wine tours so I already had an idea of the making process, so this tour acted a bit more like a refresher, where I felt nothing was missed out.

Had a fantastic day out with my mum and sister on the half day wine tour. We ended up with a private tour as we were the only booking that afternoon and we were looked after extremely well by Carlos, our tour guide. He made the experience both funny and interesting right from pick-up at our villa to drop off later in the day. I wasn't expecting him to also do the winery tour - a man of many talents (with a few tall-tales thrown in!). We stopped at Silves and had a quick tour around the castle before heading to the winery which was excellent. I learned about wine, cork trees, orange trees, almond trees and local culture and architecture. Highly recommended!

Our guide was amazing. We misunderstood our pick up location at hotel and our guide was understanding and accommodating. His experience and knowledge of our sitings was top notch! So much fun, wine was delicious.

A pleasant afternoon experience. João taught us a lot about wine, wine bottling and corks. We also stopped at Silves and got to walk around the castle

Our guide, Carlos, was amazing and so full of interesting information about the area, history, Algarve region, and the wine making process. We made a stop at the historical Silves castle and it was beautiful. The wine tasting and tour at the vineyard made for the perfect ending. Wines were delicious and the view could not be beat.

Filipe was the best tour guide! He was communicative and prompt in picking us up from our specified location. He had lots of in-depth knowledge regarding the areas, cork harvesting process, and winery. Filipe was very thorough in answering our questions and very funny too! The tour itself was four hours and each stop felt like part of a whole journey. My group walked away feeling like we learned a lot from the tour. Overall, this tour was very well done and the wine tasting and tapas at the end were a hit. Thank you, Filipe for a great trip!

Carlos was amazing. He was very informative about the region and shared his knowledge of the trees and fruits of Albufiera. The winery was amazing and the place and area worth to see. Best orange juice ever.
