O passeio inclui uma visita ao parque arqueológico do Vale dos Templos de Agrigento. Caracterizada por um excelente estado de conservação, e por importantes templos dóricos do período helénico. Foi incluído na Lista do Patrimônio Mundial da UNESCO em 1997.
Agrigento é sem dúvida uma das cidades mais bonitas do mundo, a mais visitada de sempre, um símbolo da antiguidade com o seu sugestivo Vale dos Templos. Mas Agrigento não é só cultura e história. É bela não só pelo seu excecional património arqueológico, mas também pelo ambiente natural que a caracteriza. A bela praia de San Leone é formada por uma areia macia e dourada, caracterizada por quilômetros de areais banhados por um mar esplêndido, de azul intenso e águas límpidas. Seu passeio (Falcone e Borsellino) é embelezado por altas palmeiras que o cercam. Nas suas imediações existem todos os tipos de serviços, lojas e restaurantes que oferecem especialidades típicas da Sicília. Depois de explorar os sítios arqueológicos do Parque Valle dei Templi, almoce em um pequeno restaurante em frente ao calçadão Falcone Borsellino em San Leone. Aqui os pratos são feitos à base de ingredientes da terra e do mar, numa mistura única com sabores mediterrânicos.
Uma esplêndida jóia branca deslumbrante que enquadra o azul claro do mar é o Scala dei Turchi. Um dos destinos favoritos dos verões meridionais, graças à sua conformação com linhas suaves, arredondadas e irregulares e à cor do seu penhasco branco "frio". É composto por rochas sedimentares argilosas e calcárias, que conferem ao penhasco sua característica cor branca e baixa temperatura ao toque. O penhasco pode ser alcançado através de um caminho de enormes degraus, sobre os quais os turistas costumam "acampar" para se bronzear ou admirar o maravilhoso panorama com vista para a igualmente fascinante costa de Agrigento.

Giuseppe was a great driver. He took time to explain the sights to us and shared a lot about Sicilian culture. Anna, our tour guide at the temples, was incredibly knowledgeable and allowed us the time we needed to take a lot of pictures. She also happily took our picture in great spots with the temples in the background.

Beautiful drive from Palermo to Agrigento. The tour was wonderful and very informative. Lunch was great and we really enjoyed Scala de Turchi. Our driver Guiseppe was so kind and very helpful and knew the area very well.

This full day experience featured a drive south to Agrigento to see the temples of the gods. Our driver, Mimmo, shared information along the way. He was super courteous and concerned for our comfort and welfare. Our guide at the temples was Anna. She was incredibly knowledgeable and we felt well informed about what we were seeing. Long drive from Palermo but totally worth it. The valley of temples is stunning. Having a guide was worth the extra cost but the layout and signage would make it possible to do without.

You do want to see the valley of temples. You will feel transported in time and probably will feel you are in Greece. Fabrizio our driver and Danielle our guide were amazing. The valley of the temples is not to be missed – the ruins are beautiful, the history is fascinating – our guide Anna did a wonderful job.— the park itself is beautiful and green and open, and you feel like you are out in nature. Scala dei Turchi was less impressive – perhaps in part because we chose not to climb down the stairs and saw it from above. One of the best parts of our day was getting to know our wonderful driver Luca (ask for him if you can!)
