Perfect tour. Our guide Silvia was very well informed, gave us a lot of insider information about the attractions we have seen and about the whole island. The whole trip was really great!
This trip was truly fantastic. AMAZING places to see with just the right amount of time given to each place. I really appreciated 1.5 hours in Terra Nostra so it was enough time to speed walk the park and have a 15 min dip in the hot springs. Dinner after was fab! Ok, the food isn't tasty but it was a fabulous experience and portions were enormous. My tour guide Andre is the best guide I've ever had! He really made the trip so special, I will never forget it. A group size of 8 is perfect. I can't fault this fabulous trip at all.
Enjoyed the tour. The only issue was that I was in the back of the van, and the guide could not speak loudly enough for me to hear him clearly. Also, the food at the lunch stop was mediocre.
André was an incredible guide. He is beyond knowledgeable about everything on the island. We learned so much from him, and he kept us laughing the whole day. You can tell he has such a passion for what he does and it shines through in his work. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants an introduction to the many amazing natural features of São Miguel.
After having to unexpectedly cancel a previous booking due to being soaked through in a storm just before reaching the meeting point, Azorean Tales kindly allowed us to rebook with a very short notice. The trip we then had with our guide Carlos was wonderful. We enjoyed the many stories about life on the azores, a delicious lunch and nice explanations on the ananas and tea plantations, and the hot springs. Very full day, but such a nice experience.
We had Carlos who from the very beginning was friendly and enthusiastic and humorous. He was very knowledgeable and you felt like you were out with a friend. Great stops !
A great 3 hours visiting two caves, looking at the volcanic flow formed. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. You do need to be aware the ground is very uneven, the ceilings can be very low and there are steps! Having said that it was amazing to see the caverns and formations. Very beautiful 😍
This day trip is so delightful I’ve now done it twice. I visit the Azores each year and for me this tour has become a high point I don’t want to miss. I love the guides, the tea plantation, the fumaroles: all of it. The super generous lunch at Tony’s is delish, though I ask for a box to share with hotel staff later! A great time in all respects and I will take another trip with this tour when I return!
Great! Sylvia Torres was an excellent guide. Very engaging! Would definitely recommend this toir and this guide!
Julio was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The transportation was perfect, well adequate to the group and situation, there was a family with kids. I just wanted to have more information about the swimming pools in the botanic garden. If i had known, i would have had my swimming gear with me. I highly recommend it
