Furnas / East Island – “Gastronomia, fontes quentes, caldeiras e fumaroles” Descubra uma das áreas vulcânicas mais emblemáticas de São Miguel, muitas vezes considerada o coração do turismo dos Açores. Explore a atividade vulcanológica de uma das áreas vulcânicas mais ativas da ilha, com uma história eruptiva que remonta a mais de 100.000 anos. Experimente o único Vale de Furnas, conhecido por sua extraordinária diversidade de águas minerais e termais. Assista como os locais preparam o tradicional “cozido” azoreano usando calor vulcânico, e visite uma das únicas plantações de chá na Europa. Parada opcional: Parque Terra Nostra jardim botânico e piscina térmica (entrada não incluída). Esta visita depende do tempo disponível e da participação geral do grupo no dia do passeio. Tipo de passeio: Excursão partilhada (não privada) Tamanho do grupo: Experiência para pequenos grupos; no entanto, o tamanho do grupo pode variar dependendo da demanda, especialmente nos dias de cruzeiro.

This is the second time we have gone on this tour in three years. We really think it is a great tour and lots of fun and a wonderful way to see so much for a very short period of time. The guys are really making an effort to personalize the tour and give you information about the Island. I'd recommend it again -we thought Carlos was fabulous and we had such a fun time with him.

Great experience! A pleasurable tour with many fascinating things to see. My favorite was the Crater volcano and hot springs. Well worth the trip to visit a natural wonder and our tour company provided the opportunity and more.

Our operator skipped 3 of the stops on the tour. It was also only about 3:30 long and included approx 40 people. There was no customization only a bunch of driving in a bus. There were multiple complaints by those of us traveling but the operator just said the description wasn’t supposed to include that. Contacted Viator for a partial refund and they gave nothing. I will no longer use Viator since they don’t stand behind the tours they offer.

We signed up for a small group private tour and got stuck on a bus tour with more than 30 people. There were 5 stops scheduled we only made three of them. Definitely disappointed and very mislead by operator.

What we got of the tour was terrific. But we were promised a visit to the Parque Terra Nostra and we were told that it was not covered as part of the tour even though it clearly was. We chose this for the 3 highlights of tea plantation, Furnas (also never got to see where they cook the food) and hot springs. Very disappointed to be told things were included when they clearly were not.
