Amazing morning! Thoroughly enjoyed it! My partner is a total novice, where as I’ve got quite a few years experience- the two guides were great and you could tell they live and breathe horses. They will match your experience to the right horse and place you in the safest spot in the line to keep you and the horses comfortable and calm. Highly recommend!
Great experience and would definitely recommend! The staff were friendly, welcoming, and made safety a priority. This activity is suitable for all abilities, I have 10 years of horse riding experience and visited with a novice, and we both had a fantastic time. Experienced riders have the opportunity to gallop. The horses are well looked after and are allocated to the rider based on prior experience.
Excellent experience and great value for money. The host was welcoming, and the horses were calm and easy to ride.
I was picked up at the designated hotel, kindly received and taken to the range. Nice welcome and good information for everyone. There were different levels in the group. At trotting and galloping the group was split. Top guidance and nice atmosphere. Beautiful route through the countryside. Was a very nice experience.
What an amazing experience! I have already done several tours and each time it was fantastic. My first tour was in a group, which was perfect for getting acquainted in a relaxed way. Then I did a private ride, ideal if you already have a bit more experience and would like to pick up some pace. This week I went on two more rides with Amanda and I really enjoyed myself. The routes were breathtakingly beautiful, with stunning views along the way, and the horses were all sweet, well cared for and great to ride. Amanda made sure everything was relaxed, safe and super cozy. This was without a doubt one of the absolute highlights of my holiday. I can recommend it to anyone — whether you are a beginner or more experienced. I will definitely be back again!
As novice horse riders, my mum and I had a fantastic experience on the sunset trip. You go right out into the country and there is such serenity. Our guide was great and kept us safe at all times, even when my horse got a little spooked at the end! They are really affordable and welcoming, especially to an experienced writers like myself or my mum. I would highly recommend El Salobre, it was one of the highlights of our holiday.
I had a great time , I’m not that great with horses either , they scare me a tad , but the staff put me at ease and I had a very nice patient horse , I even fed him , first time I ever fed a horse , which for me was a big deal ,thoroughly recommend
A great experience for beginner riders me and my 12 yr daughter loved it! Really get a full solo horse riding experience with beautiful scenery. Loved hearing the background about each horse by the taxi driver on way back to hotel, they seem to really know and care about each of their horses. Lovely experience! Definitely recommend!
I had a wonderful ex showjumper as my "guide" to the rocky terrain of interior Gran Canaria. He was very sound, beautifully kept, and kept me safe. The human guides spoke excellent English and knew the terrain well. The stable area is clean. I liked the hair nets for the helmets and offering last minute necessities like water and phone cases (I didn't have a pocket, so I bought one). The guides were very organized and put people according to their level. The horses were very well-behaved on the trail, even though the group was large and full of people with very varying riding levels. The one suggestion I would make would be to not have such big groups. One rider who had never ridden before was really holding up the twenty horses. Also, the terrain for riding at quicker speeds was problematic due to rain. There is not much to be done about that, but hopefully when the trail is repaired that will be addressed.
Experience overall pleasant, but with some disappointment. The horseback ride took place in a beautiful setting and the guides were kind, especially Amanda, cute. However, the description of the activity indicated the presence of both trotting and galloping. Unfortunately, in reality we trotted for no more than 15 seconds and galloped for the same, resulting almost imperceptible. Personally I had chosen this experience to live those moments, so it was a shame not to be able to really do them. Another aspect that I think could be improved is the organization of the group: we were about 14 horses with only two guides, and this makes it difficult to manage everything. My advice is to be more transparent in the description or to organize smaller groups or with more guides, so as to really allow also trotting and galloping in an appropriate way. It still remains a good experience, but with expectations a bit ‘unfulfilled.
