I was really looking forward to this trip, and I wasn't disappointed. I knew a little about the subject, but not in depth. The guide was very polite and personable; he had a good knowledge of the subject, and made it relatable, I would certainly recommend this trip if you have an interest in Spanish history.
A fantastic tour! Our guide was experienced and knew the intricacies of the civil war. We had a great time walking through the streets of Barcelona learning about it's rich history.
Our Guide was very knowledgeable and great.
I learned so much on this walking tour. Our guide, Henrieta, was knowledgeable and warm. She explained a very complicated Civil War and the conflicts that arose between various leftist groups extremely clearly. It was one of the hottest days so I appreciated our derive into the air conditioned bookstore. I followed the tour up with a visit to the Museu Nacional d'art de Catalunya, which has an excellent exhibition about art during the conflict and after.
The tour was so much fun and Henrietta was an amazing guide through the history of Barcelona and the Spanish Civil War. I could not recommend this tour more.
My son and I had an amazing experience with Henrietta! She was very passionate about the subject and shared a large amount of knowledge with the group. She continually asked the group for questions and answered them very thoroughly. I highly recommend her and her tour.
This tour was awesome! Learned a lot about the Spanish Civil War and the history of the city. It was amazing!
Very interesting tour! Would definitely recommend to anyone interested in the recent history of the Spanish civil war. I also really liked the fun facts on the origins of the certain place names (Raval, Rambla..), but that's just one small part of this amazing tour!
Outstanding analysis of Spanish Civil War, discussing social, religious, and economic underpinnings, how events unfolded, and the unique position that Catalonia/Barcelona found itself in. Well done, Yiannis!
This was a fantastic tour. While the subject matter is not the easiest, it was fascinating to visit sites in Barcelona connected to the memory of the Spanish Civil War and learn about their historical significance. Evan was incredibly knowledgeable and his perspective added real depth to the experience. The tour was both engaging and thought-provoking. I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in Barcelona’s history.
