If you’re a fan of The Godfather, this tour is an absolute must. We explored the beautiful villages of Forza d’Agrò and Savoca, walking through the very locations where some of the movie’s most iconic scenes were filmed. Every corner had a story to tell, and our knowledgeable guide brought everything to life with fascinating insights and behind the scenes stories that made the experience even more memorable. One of the highlights was enjoying a delightful aperitif aboard a traditional calessino, surrounded by breathtaking Sicilian scenery and a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. The day ended with a delicious traditional Sicilian lunch, featuring authentic local dishes prepared with fresh regional ingredients. Everything was perfectly organized from beginning to end. This tour beautifully combines cinema, history, spectacular landscapes, outstanding food, and genuine Sicilian hospitality. The tour ended perfectly with a traditional lunch: delicious local dishes, excellent wine, and the classic Sicilian cannoli made the experience even more special. We had an amazing day with our fabulous guide and driver, Salvo. The drive up to Forza d’Agro was scenic and the village was so charming. Walking the quiet village streets felt like walking through history -as well as cinematic history. Loved seeing the filming locations from The Godfather (church backdrop, front door of “Corleone home,” village streets) as well as grabbing a coffee from a local cafe where the bicycle the priest rode was on display. From there, we went to Savoca, to see the iconic Bar Vitelli. We took a fun Ape taxi through the narrow streets for panoramic views and to visit the church where Michael and Apollonia got married. Enjoyed a fruit delicious lunch at Geronelso. A 10 out of 10 day!
