The Lost Close.. great whiskey appreciation session… Haley our guide was fantastic sharing with us of the history of The Lost Close, giving us an intro into the 4 regions of Scottish whiskey. Very fun and memorable. Highly recommended #TheLastClose

This was my favorite experience in Edinburgh. The history of the venue is very interesting. Each whisky came with great stories about the distillers and the surrounding countryside. Our host, Haley was charming and really on top of her game. I highly recommend this event.

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves during this activity. Our guide was not only informative, but lively and humorous, and the whisky choices offered were excellent. The history behind each region the tastings were from was educational and much appreciated. The Lost Close itself was a unique location and added to the ambiance of the tasting.

Amazing experience, would recommend even to haters of whisky. Not cheap, but you get four tasting samples, and over an hour of history, plus you get to experience a previously hidden tunnel of old Edinburgh that was accidentally discovered in 2019. Our guide, Hayley, was amazing, very knowledgeable and engaging. My girlfriend, who booked the non-drinker option even got a soft drink on the house

What a great experience. I have not done an official whiskey tasting but this was excellent. Very knowledgeable about the 4 regions and types of whiskey and a nice final option to go with a second peaty whiskey. Very entertaining and great vibe for a bunch of newbie whiskey drinkers. The venue was super cool as well and great history. I would definitely recommend this whiskey tasting.

We had an amazing time in the lost close with our very knowledgeable guide Eleanor. She choose great whiskys for us and gave us a lot of great information and history about the whisky regions. My partner said he liked Peaty whiskey and she pulled some great ones for him. The close is such a cool place to sit and enjoy good drinks and good company. It's so moody and has great historical vibes.

Three of us did the Connoisseur experience here and absolutely loved it. Our host Eleanor was a great storyteller and took us on a historical tour of Scotland's whisky producing regions, bringing us some great drams as we went. It was a fairly international crew - English, Americans, Scots and Kiwis - and we all loved it. It's quite an intimate experience in a really quirky space, packed with history. I would thoroughly recommend this experience if you are visiting Edinburgh and want to learn more about Scottish history, drink some great whisky or just have a great experience.
