Superb experience for this stay. Beautiful dives at an attractive price and above all a choice guide, Gita. Thank you for these magnificent dives. You were attentive to my wishes, you have a lynx eye and you knew how to show me many superb things.

Thank you to Pica for these wonderful moments underwater. We discovered beautiful sites and he found us many wonders (pygmy seahorse, frogfish, mantis shrimp,...) The daytime and nighttime dives went very well.

11 days with our guide Alfian, a passionate individual, we came for macro photography, he was fantastic, organized the dives so that we had the least amount of people and especially had an eye for finding a multitude of nudibranchs, crabs, and seahorses (even the pygmy ones). Thank you, Alfian Very welcoming team, Dee and her good mood in the morning, the jokes with the other guides. General good mood.

As part of the SDC 'safari' that goes around Bali. I must admit that at 72 years old, with almost 700 dives to my credit and diving with my own equipment, I do not necessarily match the 'average' of Tulamben divers. I also have experience of these sites, having dived there during 3 previous stays (but from boats). I thought the SDC ground organization was really top, and I pay special tribute to Yoko (I'm not sure what his name is anymore, but he's an average-sized 50-year-old man) who was both an excellent underwater guide and a very good 'helper' both to get in/out of the water and to find my pocket, fallen to the bottom of the sea.

I’ll start my review by saying this dive centre offers excellent value. For us, 10 dives each, including some remote spots, cost 6.8M Rupiah or around AU$666. That AU$33 a dive including transport to site, fill and guide plus the odd coffee or water etc. The centre itself thrives on Kaos theory, and is a hive of activity first thing in the morning, but it all seems to work. There are small lockers for your gear (100k rupiah key deposit). Generally you’ll be assigned a guide, you’ll suit up and sort your gear and then be transported to a dive site. Often porters lug all your gear to the water. Pretty much everything is a beach entry, which means rocks, so good dive boots are very useful. Post dive you’ll have a surface interval, with tea / coffee / water and a snack and then move to the next site. We did 2 or 3 dives a day. Others did more. A few not so goods: - I had one full tank the whole time, mostly around 180-190 fills. - They ran out of Nitrox a lot, so had to switch back to air. - We used our own gear, and half we did as some of the rental stuff was terrible. I strongly recommend you bring your own regs at least. - The centre seems to cater a lot to French tourists and the guides seem very fluent in French, not so much English. - On some of the dives you scuba for 10 minutes in 6m-10m of water to get to a site. I’d prefer to surface swim that and then descend to save bottom time - but that’s just my preference. - Lastly, and this out of the Dive Centres control, some of the sites are completely jammed with divers. The Liberty was particularly frustrating with OW divers kicking up silt and flapping around. Despite some of the frustrations, we’d dive with these guys again.

This center is very well organized. Pick-up is at your hotel, including Amed. Once on site the paperwork is quickly shipped and we are put in my hands of a Dive Master who will take care of us for the day. We were with John, he was very attentive to our desires and was able to adapt to what we had come for and our desires and way of diving. We like to take pictures, he found us a lot of little things like we like... Thank You John 😄. We only made sites with Beach Check-out. All the equipment is taken care of by the staff of the center, just equip yourself a few meters from the beach. Going up to the club between each dive, there is a small warung to eat or drink. Also a nice space to rest (with plenty of plugs to recharge). The whole team is taking care Nitrox is free on request which is not negligible when you accumulate dives on a few days A real holiday taste 🤿🏖️

We went to dive with Yoko for 3 days in Tulamben and it was a pleasant experience. The reefs are very healthy and we saw many marine life, especially at the Liberty Wreck. Yoko was very professional and made sure safety was taken seriously, conducting checks and made sure we enter and exit the dives safely. Would recommend friends to visit this dive shop!
