I had amazing day and safari at salt lick lodge . I was able to see animals closely when they come to drink water at the holes. It is amazing to spot animal you didn't see during your game drive. Is also good for soft adventure. The lodges are good 👍
I had excellent experience at Salt lick. Good food ,clean rooms and ambience, The game drove with Philemon was to notch. He guided us well on where to find animals eg lion, elephants etc . He's quite knowledgeable about animals. The catering department Anish and Nicholas made sure we enjoyed our meals.
The best part was the beautiful view from the room, my room faced the water hole. The break from salt lick to have lunch at Taita hill was a good idea since there is no much activities. I also got to seat at the bar one afternoon and it was so calm with a beautiful view. The chef Josephine was very kind passed by after dinner to check on how the meal was and for any requests for the next day. Martin our driver was also very kind. All the staff at the lodge were very friendly and respectful. It would however be nice if there was a phone at the room to communicate with the reception. It’s sad that get to see many animals just 3 elephants, two lioness from far and some grass feeding animals. The one down side is the lodge phone number do not go through and at some point I was frustrated wondering how to contact them. Please fix your phones.
