3D2N Aspira Cruise 5 - Estrela : HaLong Bay, Lan Ha Bay & Cat Ba Island

We had a lovely stay. We recommend the 3D2N, since you get extra activities and have a proper get away then. They’re very friendly and it’s an extraordinary view.

The junior suite cabin with balcony was lovely and the meals provided were delicious but the activities laid on were disappointing. The 1st day’s main event to the light & dark caves was not successful as it was afternoon low tide. This activity should have been scheduled for the morning. The 2nd day’s main event to the village was chaotic as the guide did not take us round the village :( The visit to the private beach involved a 100m swim in quite turbulent water and only 3 guests decided to go. If the ship docked nearer more of us could have enjoyed the beach! The crew were polite and helpful. Nancy was a multi tasker manning the reception, demonstrating the cooking class and leading the 6am t’ai chi class. Well done Nancy! We enjoyed your efforts :)

The cruise was AMAZING! The accommodations were lovely and the staff was very friendly and worked to hard to make each guest feel welcome and comfortable. The food was delicious. Definitely book two nights. The second day to Cat Ba, oyster farm and private beach was all great and I saw more than if I had booked Cat Ba on my own. Outstanding from start to finish.

We spent two nights on the boat. It‘s indeed a great and comfortable boat with friendly employees. Room was spacious, nice balcony, very comfortable beds, very spacious and almost a luxurious bathroom. Food is good (others have mentioned it being Michelin-star-level but I would see it rather far away from that). Downsides: You actually don‘t spend too much time on this boat. You’re entering a smaller boat in the harbour and that takes you to the cruise boat (easily a 45min ride). Full-day tour to Cat Ba Island is also done with a different and smaller boat that collects people from different cruises. It‘s sad as the boat is really nice. Itinerary is quite dense. Water is provided, all other beverages are really not cheap. Very poor WIFI, you basically rely on your mobile network. Some employees quickly struggle speaking and understanding English.

Great experience with Nancy to sail 2days one night. She helped to make our stay more than pleasant with warmth feelings.

This experience was truly wonderful. Everything from the food to the accommodation to the staff. The staff was always there to help and fulfill your needs. We would like to highlight the tour guide for the day tour named Binh. He was very friendly and felt like a friend showing you around the little village of Cat ba but professional at the same time. We were a group of 10 people and this tour took good care of us. The food was Michelin star rating could not fault anything on this tour . Our host Nancy was very accommodating. This tour is first class.

Our two nights onboard Aspira were sensational. From the pick up transfer with Mr Lee, to the staff onboard, Mr Ha and Ms Nancy, and lovely Ms Green. The staff onboard are attentive and very friendly. They were super kind to our kids (7 and 10), treating them to extra icecream and passionfruit. Our boys loved swimming off the boat, utilising the inflatable at the rear, and the kayaking. The food was delicious and abundant, with many options and offerings. The beds are comfortable with fluffy pillows. The shower pressure is great. The cocktails at happy hour were lush, and much cheaper than home. I highly recommend booking with Aspira.

My husband and I went on the 2 night/3day cruise with Aspira Cruise aound Ha Long bay also visiting Cat Ba Island and absolutely loved it. The transfer picked us up at our hotel in Hanoi and dropped us back, our guide Lee (aka Bruce Lee 😄) and drivers were grea and gave some great commentary on Hanoi and Ha Long during our drive. The cruise itself was fantastic with all the beautiful staff, great boat and amazing food, and the day trip cruise out to Cat Ba that was organised by Aspira and managed by Day Cruises Tung Trang 25 with our guide Alex who was hilarious and provided us all with lots of great information on the history of Ha Long and Cat Ba. We really couldn't have asked for more, our only wish was that we came when it was a little warmer so we could swim. Definitely recommend Aspira 🙂

Was an amazing Trip and Ha was a Perfect Host! The cruiseship was very modern and clean. The service on board was excellent and the crew was very polite.
