Teatro do selvagem A visão de um elefante vermelho empoeirado, rolando e borrifando um ao outro com as águas azuis da meia-noite do rio Galana, à sombra de palmeiras, é uma das imagens mais sugestivas da África. Isso, junto com o Yatta Plateau, com 300 quilômetros de extensão, o maior fluxo de lava do mundo, cria uma aventura diferente de qualquer outra no leste de Tsavo. O parque forma a maior área protegida do Quênia e abriga a maioria dos mamíferos maiores, vastos rebanhos de poeira - elefante vermelho, rinoceronte, búfalo, leão, leopardo, vagens de hipopótamo, crocodilo, bolsas de água, menor Kudu, gerenuk e prolífico a vida das aves apresenta 500 espécies registradas.

We stayed here for 1 night during a safari. The staff is pleasantly friendly and helpful. Food lunch, dinner and breakfast were fine. We had two connecting rooms right by the waterhole. Rooms were clean and had care products, as well as mosquito nets and spray. Even flashlights for a night walk along the fence of the complex were in every room. The only minus, the pool was very fresh. Nevertheless, I would not give a point of deduction for this.
Just came to this lodge for lunch. Lovely spot in east Tsavo with lots of shade and a small swimming pool. Nice views over the park and several elephants close by. Staff delightful and welcoming but the restaurant is rather stuck in a time warp of the 1970’s. Plentiful food but of the heavy broccoli soup with croutons variety and rather dull salad and various Indian selections. Don’t get me wrong it’s fine but not exceptional, I think it probably caters more for bus trippers than individual visitors. I do stress though that the staff were great and friendly and it’s a good spot for a short stopover.
