We were picked up by Enock from Victoria Falls and taken to the border at Botswana. He was polite and told us about the area then helped us through immigration at the border where we met our guide Jack from Tony Mobile Safari. If you want a guide that’s going to go all out and give you your money’s worth then Jack is your guide. We started with a 3 hour game drive on the river where we saw many different animals. After the river we went back to his office and given a chance to shop in Kasane before we started our afternoon game drive. Jack would stop and study some tracks and then take us right to Lions or Giraffes or Elephants. We got to camp shortly after dark and dinner was waiting and it was delicious. We sat in the dark looking at the stars while a lion roared about 100 yards away. Afterwards we went in our tent with an attached bush bathroom. Jack woke us at 6:00 the next morning and after a quick breakfast we headed out for a 6 hour game drive. We stopped by the river and a huge Baobab tree for coffee and lunch before heading out of the park. On the way out was the highlight. Jack took us off road right to a Leopard sleeping in a tree with its Impala kill. After that Jack took us back to the border where we met up with Enock and the transfer back to Vic Falls. For the price this was a to do bucket list thing to do and well worth it.
We visited Chobe National Park in November and booked the tour with DK-Tours & Safari. The staff took fantastic care of us. Especially our guide Surprise went to great lengths to show and explain as many animals as possible. The food at the camp was super delicious and the camp was very lovingly decorated. We would definitely book the tour again.
The number and variety of animals we saw in Chobe blew us away. Not only did we come upon a pride of lions "posing" for our cameras, but we even spotted three leopards - very unusual. Leo, our guide, was truly exceptional, working hard to ensure that we saw as much as possible. He was quite knowledgeable and accommodating, giving us lots of insights about the animals and the area. At the camp, the Chef cooked a hearty meal and we sat around a bonfire exchanging tales. From elephants to impalas, zebras, giraffes, and more, this excursion into Botswana gave us an opportunity to see and experience Africa in a way that few visitors really do.
An excellent experience on river safari. Saw all animals as mentioned in the advertisement. However, it is not night safari as mentioned.
It doesn't get any better. This tour was one of the most beautiful we have ever experienced. The guide was so incredibly nice, knowledgeable and made everything possible. Thank you very much!!!!
Loved it but went in wet season (January) and was ill prepared clothes wise. Got wet then cold so be prepared (ponchos are provided). Take a head lamp or torch - phone light insufficient. Take lots of small notes for tips as there’s a number of people who assist to make it special. The experience from pick-up to drop-off the next day was seamless. Webster did a great job. We had Kennedy on the boat & Lance as our safari guide/driver. Excellent tour and would seek them our to do another tour.Besides Rhino’s which are no longer in Chobe, we saw the Big 4 and so much more. Great Park within easy access and Lance did his best to ensure we saw everything we wanted. Couldn’t be more happier
Jack was our guide and ensured we were safe at all times. Jack had impeccable tracking skills and was sble to show us so much! Lions, Elephants, Cape Buffalo, Hippos, and so much more! The camp was amazingly done and the food was delicious! Ronald makes the best bread and chicken! Breakfast was yummy! It was strange to be sleeping out in the bush but our tent and toilet were very comfortable.
It may seem a little expensive, but it's worth it!! First of all, he drove me from his hotel in Victoria falls town to Chobe National Park, and the driver was a very nice person and comfortable on the way. First breakfast at the safari Guide's office and cafe. We saw crocodiles and hippos on the boat cruise! I came all the way to Chobe, where the boat cruise is located, for a safari and I was right~! After lunch, we were so excited to see so many elephants, giraffes, baby lions, zebras and even leopards on the afternoon game drive!! It was quite a long time, five hours, but it was a lot to see. After all, safari Guide are Pro. They also find animals that they would not be able to find on their own. 笑 They answered a lot of questions and it was fun. We arrived at the camping site around 7pm and had dinner. At the campsite, you can enjoy freshly prepared food prepared by the chef on the spot with wine. After dinner, we had the luxury of sitting around the campfire chatting and gazing at the perfect starry sky. There was no bed in the tent, but I could sleep comfortably with a thin mattress. It was a thrilling night, feeling the sound of lions in the middle of the night and the presence of elephants in the vicinity. The toilets I was worried about were two behind the tent, so they were fuzzy toilets. When I'm done, I put sand on it, so it doesn't smell, but there are flies. (笑) There is also one bathroom break during the safari game drive. It's a public toilet kind of place. On the second day, we had breakfast, game drive, Come back to the campsite at 11:00, have lunch, Wait until 14:30. You can take a temporary shower at this time. It was a bit hard because this time was hot. I'm glad I brought cold pita... Then, while driving the game, they head back towards Victoria falls town, and so on. On the way home, he gave me a beef pie and mandarin oranges for a snack. The rice, which I honestly didn't expect at all, was all delicious. There was good balance between the food in the office and cafe, the food in the camp, and the vegetables, and it tasted gentle and good. If you're in Victoria falls town, I'd recommend a tour Guide here! I feel safe because my boss's uncle is a nice guy with a kind smile. (I'm not a spinner. lol
Really cool trip with experienced, helpful and really nice guides/people around you, where you feel completely safe and well taken care of. Can really recommend it!
Definitely a lifetime experience! Great hospitality, great guides, unforgettable experience. I highly recommended this tour to everyone visiting Victoria Falls. We saw lions, hippos, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras and many more during this two day tour in few meters distances. Even tough camping is not the most comfortable accommodation option, it definitely worths the experience.
