De tunnels van Củ Chi (Vietnamees: Địa đạo Củ Chi) zijn een immens netwerk van verbindingstunnels in het Củ Chi-district van Ho Chi Minh-stad (Saigon), Vietnam, en maken deel uit van een veel groter netwerk van tunnels dat ten grondslag ligt aan veel van het land. De Củ Chi-tunnels waren de locatie van verschillende militaire campagnes tijdens de oorlog in Vietnam en waren de uitvalsbasis van de Vietcong voor het Tết-offensief in 1968.
De Cao Dai-tempel (ook wel de Tay Ninh Heilige Stoel genoemd) werd gebouwd in 1933 en officieel ingehuldigd in 1955. Het is een speciaal religieus werk van het Caodaïsme (Cao Dai-religie), gelegen in het Hoa Thanh-district, ongeveer 4 km van de stad Tay Ninh. In het begin van de jaren twintig werd het caodaïsme gevestigd in Zuid-Vietnam, maar het werd pas in 1926 officieel gecodificeerd. Het is de derde grootste religie in Vietnam en leent elementen uit het boeddhisme, het christendom, het taoïsme, het confucianisme en de islam. Er wordt momenteel geschat dat er landelijk bijna 3 miljoen volgers zijn, woonachtig in 38 provincies en steden, voornamelijk geconcentreerd in Zuid-Vietnam.
Black Virgin Mountain ( Vietnamees : Núi Bà Đen betekent "Black Lady Mountain") is een berg in Tây Ninh City, Vietnam. De berg is het centrum van een Vietnamese mythe over Bà Đen. Tijdens de Vietnamoorlog was het gebied rond de berg een hete zone, aangezien de Ho Chi Minh Trail een paar kilometer westwaarts over de Cambodjaanse grens eindigde. Als zodanig waren er veel veldslagen en Amerikaanse en Vietnamese soldaten die in de regio gestationeerd waren, herinneren zich dit prominente monument.[1] Na de oorlog veranderde de berg van een slagveld en werd hij beroemd om zijn prachtige tempels en themapark.

We had such an incredible day with our tour guide Casey! From start to finish, everything was well organised and enjoyable. We visited the Chu Chi Tunnels, the Cao Dai Holy Temple, and Black Lady Mountain—all of which were fantastic experiences and definitely worth seeing. Casey was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the whole day run smoothly. That said, Black Lady Mountain was absolutely the highlight. It was truly breathtaking—you could easily spend an entire day there. The views are incredible and there are so many amazing photo opportunities! Thank you so much, Casey, for such a memorable experience. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Vietnam!
Our visit to Black Virgin Mountain and the Cu Chi Tunnels was an absolute highlight of our time in Ho Chi Minh City, thanks to our guide Khang. He was friendly, professional, and extremely knowledgeable throughout the day. Khang gave a very informative and engaging history lesson on the war at the Cu Chi Tunnels, explaining everything clearly and answering all our questions with patience. Black Virgin Mountain was amazing! The place was beautiful and comfortable. You can tell there was a lot of effort in building it right. Unfortunately, the private tour did not meet our expectations. The vehicle, although a Mercedes, was uncomfortable in many ways. The air conditioner was not working properly; it couldn’t keep us cool in the back, and the vent air smelled dirty. Our tour guide was tall, so we were cramped in the back seat. To make matters worse, the seats were uncomfortable as well. Our guide made us feel rushed, but he got us around so we didn’t miss anything. The drive back from the Mountain was extremely long, taking four hours to return to HCMC. Not anyone’s fault but maybe they could have suggest a better time to leave. We had to listen to the driver singing under his breath for most of the journey. As we neared our hotel, I felt suffocated and wanted to jump out of the car. I tried to roll down the window for fresh air, but it was locked, so I couldn’t.
The Wonderful trip with many beautiful scenery and amazing guide! We begin our trip at Cuchi Tunnel first which help us enhance knowledge about Vietnam War. We know how difficult the solder had to handle when they lived underground inside the tunnel. Next we come Caodai Temple which is a gorgeous building. Then we go to the Black Virgin Mountain which is the highest mountain in the south of Viet Nam. It was beautiful with stunning scenery.
We had an amazing day trip - the spots are totally worth the visit, and the views from the mountain top are stunning. Our guide, Casey, was super energetic and knowledgeable, so we had great fun throughout the trip. She also took a ton of photos for us and was ok with us altering the schedule a bit, so kudos there. All in all the experience is definitely one of the highlights of our visit to Vietnam
