Een bezoek aan Angkor Wat in de ochtend is een magische ervaring. Vertrek van het hotel tussen 4:00 en 4:30 uur kunt u getuige zijn van de schoonheid van het tempelcomplex tijdens de rustige uren voor zonsopgang. Als de zon begint op te komen, werpt het een betoverende gloed over de oude tempels, waardoor prachtige silhouetten tegen de lucht ontstaan. Het vroege ochtendlicht biedt ook ideale omstandigheden voor fotografie, waarbij de ingewikkelde details en architectonische wonderen van Angkor Wat in hun beste licht worden vastgelegd. Bovendien kunt u Angkor Wat 's ochtends verkennen om de drukte te verslaan, waardoor u een rustigere en intiemere ervaring krijgt met een van 's werelds meest iconische historische bezienswaardigheden. Na een bezoek aan de tempels van Angkor Wat vervolgen we onze reis met een heerlijke maaltijd in een lokaal restaurant, die ongeveer 1 uur duurt. Na onze maaltijd hebben we de gelegenheid om vanaf de voorkant van het restaurant het adembenemende uitzicht op de Srah Srang te bewonderen. Daarna gaan we naar Ta Prohm, ook wel bekend als de Angelina Jolie-tempel, op slechts 5 minuten rijden. Deze tempel beschikt over prachtige wortelbomen, waarvan sommige ongeveer 300 tot 400 jaar oud zijn. De tempel werd in de 12e eeuw gebouwd door de grote koning Jaya Varman VII ter ere van zijn moeder en herbergt ook het vereerde standbeeld van de Boeddha Sattva, geïnstalleerd in de centrale tempel.
Na een bezoek aan de Phnom-tempels gaan we verder met het verkennen van de Bayon-tempel. Op weg naar de Bayon-tempel doorkruisen we de historische stad Angkor Thom. Angkor Thom City, een van de grote hoofdsteden, werd gebouwd door de illustere koning Jayavarman VII, waarbij vooral de oostelijke poorten opvallen. Bij het bereiken van de oostelijke poorten van Angkor Thom hebben we een stop van 15 minuten.

De Bayon-tempel is voldoende compact om elke volgorde van bezoek mogelijk te maken, vooral omdat de afwezigheid van een omringende muur het gemakkelijk maakt om binnen te komen. De doolhofachtige binnenomheining, met zijn smalle kamergangen en trappen, biedt af en toe een verrassende glimp van de raadselachtige gezichten, waardoor het een fascinerende ervaring wordt. Daarnaast leer je tijdens de tour veel van je gids.

We really enjoyed this private tour with our guide, Tann and driver, Nat. Tann was very knowledgeable and taught us about the history the Siem Reap area temples, but we also learned a lot about more recent Cambodian history. He is very experienced and also takes amazing photos! Nat was very professional, nice, and a good safe driver. Definitely recommend this one experience over just getting a tuk tuk, well worth the extra cost.

Our family of four adults and three children enjoyed a private sunrise tour of Angkor Temples from Siem Reap today. So, was our incredible guide who was very informative and provided an excellent overview of the history of the temples and of the region. His knowledge and enthusiasm made the tour even more meaningful. So knew exactly where we should stand to get the best view of the sunrise and we were lucky to see a beautiful one. So was really lovely with the children and made it a memorable experience for them as well. He pointed out special things that would interest them, including an engraving of a small dinosaur on a temple wall. So and our bus driver, Mr Nath were courteous, friendly, attentive and considerate at all times. They provided regular water and cold towels to refresh after each temple. Our family took a private tour to see the sunrise at the Ankgor Temples and it was such an incredible experience. Our driver, Mr Nath took great care on the roads and ensuring we were safe entering and exiting the vehicle at each stop. He also provided us with endless water and cool wash cloths throughout the trip. Our tour guide, So, was extremely knowledgeable and very friendly not just to us, but our young children. He provided us with so much history regarding the temples and Cambodia and was very patient with us. He also took fantastic family photos for us in each spot and always showed us the best place to take photos ourselves. So’s communication in the lead up to the tour was excellent via WhatsApp. We couldn’t fault this tour, it was a fantastic way to see the Temples and get a greater understanding of the history of Cambodia. This was my second time to visit Angkor Wat but first time for my husband. So I decided to take a proper tour this time as my husband love history. Sunrise at Angkor Wat was magical!!
