Panagia Episkopi Byzantijnse kerk - Mesa Gonia dorp – Pyrgos dorp – Oia dorp Deze tour neemt je mee naar de meest pittoreske dorpjes van het eiland. Vanuit het dorp oia bezoekt u prachtige kerken, historische monumenten met schitterend uitzicht over het eiland en de mooiste zonsondergang. U zult genieten van een rondleiding en meer te weten komen over de interessante geschiedenis van dit eiland.

Bezoek de oudste Byzantijnse kerk van het eiland, gebouwd in 1115, uit de ruïnes van een kerk uit de 6e eeuw. Het interieur is versierd met muurschilderingen en wordt beschouwd als een van de meest historische monumenten
Bezoek het dorp Mesa Gonia
Ontdek vervolgens het dorp Pyrgos, een van de meest pittoreske dorpjes van het eiland. Pyrgos was vroeger de hoofdstad van Santorini, nu heb je de kans om Skaros (de ruïnes van de middeleeuwse hoofdstad) te bezoeken, door het dorp te slenteren en foto's te maken van de prachtige kerken, en te genieten van een prachtig uitzicht over het eiland, zodra je de top van het dorp bereiken.
De laatste stop is het Oia-dorp, gelegen aan de westkant van het eiland met de beroemdste zonsondergang en een architectuur die doet denken aan Oia, ooit een bloeiend dorp gebouwd van kapiteins en zeilers.

Kinderen onder de 4 jaar kunnen gratis worden. Kinderen onder de 4 jaar oud zullen geen plaats op de bus reserveren. Ze zullen op de schoot van de ouders zitten. De voucher moet twee keer worden afgedrukt. Dit is geen ophaalservice van een privé-hotel. De gasten moeten op de bus wachten buiten hun hotel aan de hoofdweg (alle hotels zijn niet bereikbaar met de bus). This is a must do trip to see the “other” side of Santorini, with this said … our Guide - Maria! If ONE person must stand out as ambassador for this magnificent island and its gorgeous people it surely must be Maria. Her passion for the people, history and the island itself elevates this trip way beyond “just” a trip. (Pro tip: count those Lemon trees 😉) Oh yea, there was the sunset too…Do not miss the sunset view from Oia!

Kamari Tours Day Tours is ideal for those with tight and fit Santorini itinerary. Since we only stay in Santorini for three days, choosing Karari Tours for a day trip should be a cost-effective and efficient way to get to know Santorini's iconic landmarks as quickly as possible. It should be noted that since itineraries include the highest-altitude monastery, the labyrinthine Pyrgos, Akrotiri's red sand beach, Fira town and finally Oia town, each stop is limited and physically exhausting, so don't expect to be able to enjoy every attraction in an immersive way. It's best to study what good photo landmarks each attraction has before you report. This makes more efficient use of the limited time spent at each stop. Thanks to lovely guide Elise's humorous explanation, I went back to her route the day after the day trip, and interestingly ran into her again at Pyrgos Castle.

Great tour, plan sneakers because the climb of Pyrgos is severe. The guide is radiant a real pleasure to spend a day with her. If you're going to Oia in October, there's a lot of people, so make sure you have a jacket.

Santorini Island Tour with Eliza and George - fantastic island tour on a bus. Eliza was informative about the places we were visiting and provided clear instructions on when we needed to be back at the bus. We got to see a lot of places in one day, topped off by the famous sunset at Oia. Would recommend Kamari tours.
