Uw reis begint langs de Bow Valley Parkway, met kans op het spotten van wilde dieren, en een stop bij Morant's Curve. Maak een begeleide wandeling langs het pad langs de oever van het meer en geniet van de rustige schoonheid van het meer terwijl de omliggende toppen gloeien in warme zonsondergangkleuren. Stap weg van de drukte en in het wild met onze Moraine Lake Sunset & Stargazing Tour, een echt magische avondervaring in Banff National Park. Deze tour biedt een kans om Moraine Lake te ervaren buiten de gebruikelijke drukte overdag, in een omgeving die rustig, meeslepend en echt uniek is. Van wildlife-waarnemingen en zonsondergangfotografie tot het verkennen van de uitgestrekte nachtelijke hemel, dit is een avondavontuur ontworpen voor degenen die een andere kant van de Rockies willen zien.
Dit avontuur begint met een schilderachtige rit langs de Bow Valley Parkway, een uitstekende wildgang waar we elanden, herten of zelfs beren kunnen spotten als ze in de koelere uren van de avond tevoorschijn komen.
Onderweg stoppen we bij Morant's Curve, een iconische fotografieplek waar de kronkelende spoorweg de torenhoge toppen ontmoet - een perfecte gelegenheid om het gouden licht voor zonsondergang vast te leggen.
Bij aankomst in Moraine Lake heeft u tijd om de veranderende kleuren te bewonderen terwijl de zon ondergaat achter de Vallei van de Tien Pieken. Een korte begeleide wandeling langs de oever van het meer zal u toelaten om de rust van het gebied volledig te waarderen op dit moment van de dag, wanneer de meeste drukte overdag is verdwenen. Na de wandeling gaan we naar de rotspaal, het beste uitkijkpunt om de zonsondergang te bekijken. Hier kunt u ontspannen met een warm drankje, genieten van de rustige sfeer en kijken hoe het meer overgaat van levendige blauwe naar diepe schemertinten. Als de avond valt, richten we onze focus op de nachtelijke hemel. Met minimale lichtvervuiling is dit een van de beste plekken in Banff National Park om sterren te kijken. We gebruiken telescopen en verrekijkers om verre planeten, sterrenbeelden en, als de omstandigheden het toelaten, het noorderlicht van dichtbij te bekijken. Of je nu een beginnende sterrenkijker bent of een liefhebber van astronomie, het aantal zichtbare sterren zal een blijvende indruk achterlaten.

De tour begint in Canmore, met extra pickups in Banff. Nadat u uw tour hebt geboekt, sturen we u een vervolgbericht met alle belangrijke ophaalgegevens om u te helpen zich voor te bereiden op uw ervaring. Houd dit bericht in de gaten, want het bevat : • Uw bevestigde ophaaltijd op basis van uw geselecteerde locatie • Een beschrijving van ons tourvoertuig om u te helpen uw Gids gemakkelijk te identificeren • Een herinnering aan wat je moet meenemen voor je tour • De waiver link die voor vertrek moet worden ingevuld Deze informatie wordt verzonden om een soepele, gemakkelijke en stressvrije start van uw tour te garanderen. - Voorafgaand aan uw tour sturen we u een bericht met alle belangrijke ophaalgegevens om u te helpen zich voor te bereiden op uw ervaring. Deze informatie wordt verstrekt om een soepele, gemakkelijke en stressvrije start van uw tour te garanderen. Als u voor die tijd vragen heeft, neem dan gerust contact met ons op.
- Onze tours verlopen regen, zon of sneeuw (ja, zelfs in de zomer!). In extreme weersomstandigheden geven we echter prioriteit aan uw veiligheid en comfort – dus we verzetten uw tour of bieden een terugbetaling aan.
- Kijken naar de zonsondergang bij Moraine Lake is koud! Kleed je in laagjes om warm te blijven en klaar voor onvoorspelbaar bergweer.
- Om deel te nemen moeten alle volwassenen voorafgaand aan de tour een verklaring van afstand ondertekenen. Een verklaring van afstand moet ook worden ingevuld door de ouder of voogd van een kind jonger dan 18 jaar. Het niet voltooien van de afstandsverklaring zal resulteren in de annulering van uw tour.
- No-shows, gemiste vertrekken of ongebruikte diensten worden niet terugbetaald.
- We hebben minimaal 6 gasten nodig om de tour door te laten gaan. Als we dit minimumaantal niet halen, bieden we u opties om te verzetten of een volledige terugbetaling te ontvangen.
- Het sterrenkijken gedeelte van de tour is afhankelijk van de weersomstandigheden. Als bewolking, regen of andere factoren het zicht beïnvloeden, passen we het schema aan door meer tijd te besteden aan simpelweg genieten van Moraine Lake en minder aan sterrenkijken. De tour gaat door ongeacht het weer.

The experience met the description. It was Amazing! The bus ride to Moraine Lake was filled with great information from Tobi, and a bear sighting! The lake was stunningly beautiful, and I couldn’t believe we had it all to ourselves. I feel so lucky! Tobi was awesome with everyone in our group. There was a man who was secretly proposing on the outing (so sweet!) and they brought along a photographer. My mom (73) and my son (newly 8) were also part of our group. He shared so much knowledge with my son and they played around with a star app on an iPad and a super cool laser pointer. My son said, “This is 5 star!” Our guide managed to handle everyone and everything with great care and perfect attention to detail. There was a perfect balance of nature, learning, and family time. The stars were stunning. The whole night was perfect and created a lasting impression on our whole family. You have to take a shuttle to see Moraine Lake, and this is the only experience I would recommend to people in the future! It is super cold up there, so definitely dress in layers. There is hot cocoa though, which was yummy!

First I'll say our Guide, Sam was awesome. Good guy, informative and ran a smooth program. the BEST part about the tour is you get to be in Moraine lake pretty much alone. There was a total of maybe 30 people total including our group. The equipment they provide is perfect for the night. I'll point out something we had not noticed when booking. it is 8 hours long including the drive from Canmore and it ends at 2am. DO IT anyway. this time of year it doesn't get truly dark until 11:30 or so. that means only n hour or so of Stars, but it was still pretty cool. also- for the meeting place. it is the Legacy Trail Parking Lot. When we arrived, there's a sign saying cars in the lot between 11pm and 6am are subject to towing. I drove back to our hotel and we did the 2km walk back out of caution. supposedly it's not enforced, but that's a bad plan.

I wasn’t sure what to expect and was completely satisfied. Abdul was our driver and he was very informative and a good driver. He picked us up in Canmore and we traveled to Banff for a few more folks. On the drive we stopped to see some elk and deer. Once at the location he provided us with blankets, chairs and a hot drink. I’m so grateful for these. He continued to talk about the area and it was welcomed. We did a short walk up walk steps to our destination for the most incredible breath taking view. The lines were fresh and it smelled like Christmas. We waited for sunset and watched the sky for an amazing view of the Milky Way and other configurations. I highly recommend this trip!
